    Stumble on idle

    On my 2000 5.4 lariat I noticed I've developed a stumble or surging rpms,almost feels like its gonna shut off after I rev it it kinda goes away and while driving it's fine, I've got new air filter and used electrical component cleaner on sensor in air intake , cleaned throttle body too,what u guys think it can be

    Sounds like an intake leak The best and fastest way is to have a mechanic or yourself smoke the intake through the hose that connects to brake booster. Most common spots that develop leaks are the hoses and elbows that connect the pcv valve, or where it goes to throttle body. When you smoke it you'll see the smoke escape on other end where leak is. Theirs other ways as well, look online for those. Let us know what you find.

    It was PVC hose,had small hole in it .I went ahead and used blue RV silicone just to get me to my destination, I'll buy parts later...
    Or leave alone

    That hose causes more problems. Their usually on the help shelf of most parts stores.

    I'd say leave it be with the rtv silicone for now, but you'll probably want to change the hose and elbow soon. I think Ford still sells them at dealer. Sometimes worth checking, Ford price can be same or less.
