    New 2018 F150 Steering problem

Hey guys this is my first post. I have a 2018 F150 Lariat and my problem is the steering drifts to either the right or the left while driving on any street or highway at any speed. I brought it to the dealer twice and they can't seem to figure it out. The first visit they did a wheel alignment. the second visit they called ford engineers and they said to turn off the lane correction from the drivers identification center. I don't think i ever turned it on. I think I turned it off. But if it were on and I drive down a street without the white lines it shouldn't move and it would alert me first right?? BTW tires are at 35-37psi 20" good year wranglers.

Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Paul

I have a ‘18 Lariat 502A package. Zero drift issues. Lane assist works as advertised. I only keep the alert on and the steering assist off, I don’t like when it jerks the wheel. I plan to turn it on during long trips in case I fall asleep.

Look by your odometer and you should see Green lanes, letting you know you have the lane assist on. I’ll try to take a photo tomorrow to show you what it should look like when you have lane assist on.

I do all my chatting on F150Ecoboost and F150Forums. This site seems to be not as lively.

Green lines turn on at 40mph and above. Red line of course when I’m crossing the lines. Does that help?

    have the same issue / 2018 xlt - eco / 7,500 miles

It is like driving an old cadilac / between 10-2 on the wheel there is no resistance at all /

you tend to pull down on the left or right depending on how you drive

noticable all of the time - more so in town or slower speeds.

    had to dealer 2 times

tech diagnosed it as a steering control module / aka a rack and pinion I guess - but an electronic version.

just got it back yesterday - slight improvement.

    nonsense for a 50k truck

i have a 2017 pro master city work van that handles better than this thing.

turning radius just blows - I swear it was never like it is now - takes about 2.5 - 3.0 wheel turns to make a turn...

I had to lemon law a windstar van back in the early 2000's / took a year. swore I would never ever buy another ford - WTF did I do - bought one -

so not sure what to do now -

I was hoping I would be driving happy - but nope - pisses me off.
