Hi, I'm new to this site, and hope I'm not asking a question which has been covered previously. Here goes, I recently (6 mos ago)purchased a 95 F-150 shortbed w/300 6 cyl.. I fill both tanks, run off the front tank til 1/4 tank then run off the rear tank til I decide to refill both. I often smelled gas when exiting the truck, but could not find the source. As I've driven the truck more I became aware that the fuel was returning to the rear tank when running off the front tank (I believe this was happening all along but I never noticed it), so I had the rear fdm replaced. Now it seems that both tanks are operating the same---meaning the front tank returns to the rear tank and the rear tank returns to the front. My mechanic and I have argued about the existence of a valve that would direct return fuel to a specific tank. Is there a valve in the fuel return lines (I've been led to believe the 95 did not have such a valve), and if so where is it located? Any and all advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanx Gerry
