Ok. This is a lil rant, and question and idea. The routing of and drafting of plug setup an boots is retarded.

With that said, I put new plus in a couple months ago, determined I needed new wires too.

So as the weather warned up I started having an issue of the passenger rear plug wire "popping" off, broke down and bought a set of wires the other day and started changing them out.

What used to take 25 mins in my younger days of distributor type V8s, took over an hour and only resulted in half(passenger side wires replaced), the side that had the bad boot. As I started the otherwise I stopped put it all back together an fired up truck, runs great...

So on my way to work, about half easy the, 20 miles or so, trick starts chugging and sputtering, like the culprit wire came off again! Stopped, tossed on my gloves and checked and it sure did.

This has happened three more times, I can feel them click on, I mean I'm not retarded, but WTF?

Now solutions? Has anyone else encountered this? Has anyone tried trimming the boot down say 1/4" or a lil more?

Seems to me that the it's like dirty crud buildup down in the bottom and the boots bunching up, as it warms, it pops of...

Looking for a solution, thanks.
