    U-Joint

A it okay to drive on a bad u-joint for a couple days until I can fix it? What's all that could happen if I continue driving it?

I have one of those. That decision is all downside with no upside. Don't do it.

I did that once. The ujoint snapped while I was crossing a highway. I barely coasted across and almost was tboned.
If your ujoint is bad fix it. Its not hard if everything works good shouldnt take more than a hour

Bad side.1 brakes crossing high way. Result one less F150 member. 2 joint brakes snaps ears off pinion. 3.u joint brakes bends drive shaft.4.u joint brakes shaft comes out from under the truck and hits a car and hurts some one.
    I wouldn't chance it.

Correct! People pretend life is priceless. Without debating that issue, bring your truck to my house and I will do it.

    Rob,

Buddy. Tell us you fixed the u-joint before it fixed you.

Don't want to beat a dead horse, but I saw a guy do one in about 15mins. It was my mechanic and when they are good.....

I think the longest one to take me was 2 hours and really it was both on that mustang. Those were a pain.

It was a long time ago, but my mechanic jacked it up, pulled the shaft, banged out the joint and slapped on a new one in no time. It was Mel Barritt in Richland, MI in about 82. I know when those go bad, either fix it or walk.
