Tricks for fiberglass bed. (Sanding, checks, scratches)

So posted is a picture of what I'm dealing with along the whole passenger side of the bed,

I've used 180 and 220 wet to try to smooth out and get rid of the scratches and checks, 30 minutes of sanding and I get no where, next step I got out the good ol bondo, and had smoothed over ever so nicely and sanded back down and that's where I'm at, guess that's where I'm going to be unless anyone has another trick?

Gotta tell ya.. This crap sucks, must be glass prices falling out of the original fiberglass,

Using bondo to fill in, sand down and re prime, and sand some more.
