leveling kit options?
I'm looking into leveling kits, but I'm not sure what brand, type, etc to go with. I was looking at Rough Country, but there's 2 options. And do i need to get new shocks?

Depending on how old your shocks are you might but the stock ones will still work with a leveling kit. Rough country is a good brand, I think a few people on here have that brand. And you have to measure the space between the wheel well in the rear and the tire, and then in the front to find out what size kit you need.

Ready lift leveling kits are popular around here. I have one and so do a couple other guys. Good price, solid quality.

I got a rough country 2.5" leveling kit on my 2007 f150 and I like it. No probs so far and I didn't have to change my shocks.

Does anyone know if the 2.5" kit from Rough Country has aluminum spacers?
-
Well... i called Rough Country and they said the 2 leveling kits for an 04 F150 both have Polyurethane spacers, so I'm going to look for a different one that has metal spacers...

i just bought the rough country 2.5 inch leveling kit there is no aluminum spacer just the bolts and the polyurethane disk... but when i took everything apart noticed that both front springs were snapped on the last coil on the bottom side.

wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem? & is there a beefier spring i could put in it

Honestly, i don't know if Poly spacers are a bad idea, or if they work just as fine as metal spacers. This will be my first lift I've put on one of my vehicles, so it's all new to me...
