I thought about new lights too. Then I realized I'm not allowed to go outside when it is dark

The ones I bought are dual chip LED H13 replacements. They use the stock headlamp housing and simply replace the H13 halogen bulbs with the 3200 lumen 60K LED's. Supposed to be plug & play also. Haven't seen them yet, she forgot to go to the post office and pick them up.
Here's a link to the site I bought them from:

Looks like it, the guy I talked to there said its a complete kit.
Man I wish she would have went to the post office to see if they were there!

Don't expect much. LEDs require an array of all sorts of reflectors and projectors. Look at Audis, they have a single 25W chip, and a combination of no less 9 projectors and 7 reflectors. The entire back of the headlamp is a massive heatsink just for 3,000 lumens of output.
Putting a single chip LED on a H13 base and sticking it into a parabolic reflector designed for a spherical light source such as an incandescent bulb is beyond retarded. You'll get all sorts of hot spots, glare, and poor cutoff. Here is a good example:
Most people would get excited about seeing "oooh more light" but there is no cutoff. Its just constant glare. On the road visibility will be scattered, just like an HID bulb in a halogen reflector.
Edit: I see the kit you bought is claiming 3200lm. That is beyond hilarious. Like I said, Audi can barely squeeze 3,000 lumens out of a heatsink the size of your head using $2,000 Osram LEDs. A chinese chip with a tiny little heat sink, you will be lucky to get 1,000lm. BTW, H13s are 1800lm stock.

This is a good picture that shows the problem with the PnP LEDs. You can see how the LED is a directional light.
Another guy posted before and after pictures. These are Sylvania Silverstar Ultra H13s low beams (notice the defined cutfoff for traffic):
Versus these PnP LED low beams (nothing but glare):
He then posts:
"How do i adjust my headlights down? I havent gotten highbeam checked yet but I DID have 2 different cars I was in front of move there rear view window and another tap his brakes a few times ( i was up his ass kinda). I can see into the inside of peoples cars with these so I do need to adjust them. But other then that i really like them. But the high beams are useless and its annoying not having highs, when i hit the highs the light doesnt change except theres extra light at the bottom of the front bumper (like how fog lights light up the ground)"

Your the 21st century Thomas Edison. Aka the light assassin. Fantastic write
I know I have pm'd Alex with many questions about leds for my vehicles. He then gave me an excellent explanation why they were just not what I was looking for
Thanks again professor
