    f150 1986 4x4

    I have manual locking hubs j use the 4x4 just to drive in snow noting extream I was wondering if I could do something like the newer trucks just a button inside to take that hub from sticking out of the rims I don't really like it

    That's a totally diff setup ! You could convert it over but is a lot of $$.

    I'd almost prefer manual locking hubs, less bull**** to worry bout, but I would rather have the transfer case set up over the hubs

    I would rather have your manual hubs than my electronic/vacuum hubs, less to break or go wrong, but I'd prefer the manual lever on the floor for the transfer case, the the transfer case you can still shift into four hi on the go and it's all linkage, no electronic bs

    You can go to salvage and get it all then use a wiring diagram to see what all is required!
