I use meguiars tech wax. Then collinite 845 after. I do it in this order. Wash. Clay bar. Tech wax. Collinite. And I wouldn't use a orbital.. UNLESS. You know what you are doing and have lots of experience with one. If you don't then I would get a duel action. Less of a chance of burning the paint.

Allan. There is a buffer out there for. It is a dual action buffer Dual Action Orbital Polisher Guide: how to remove swirls, scratches, & oxidation with an orbital buffer. Porter Cable 7424, foam pads, backing plate,
It's fool proof. Very good to have if u r a rookie. Or a pro. It will do the job with no swirls.
    Clay bar
    Compound
    Polish
    Wax
    Then a sealer
I use a product called black fire. Great stuff. Just a little expensive. The mcguires tech wax that Adam uses is also awesome. 3 coats of that and u will need sun glasses lol. And with his truck? If the sun is out u better b wearing a 50spf. It shines that's for sure.
But give that a read. Da buffers are where it's at

Yeah, same as others. I use a DA to polish. Been using Meguiairs Ultimate Polish and like the results. Followed by Megs Ultimate wax or Colinite 845. Just did Colinite 845 last weekend. Also, of couse clay bar first.

The DA is use is a Griots Garage brand. Been very pleased with it.

    Good luck!

I can get a photo in the sun for proof lmao ( that is if you are talking about me ) but since Allan has a white truck... You might want to bump the spf to about 75... Last time I detailed a white vehicle ( 2007 Cadillac Escalade ) I had to literally borrow sunglasses to see.. I'll dig up a photo of it couldn't find the caddy but I found a 2011 Yukon I did and a 2007 Lexus. and a Chevy.. and back to the good old days when I had that 3v I haven't seen it in 3 years.. Last time I saw it new tires were installed and it just got a tune up..

I've had great success over the years using Turbo Wax. Their stuff works great and seems to last forever!

Just like you should always use a top of the line synthetic oil in the engine and transmission, it's also good to use a good synthetic wax as well. Zaino Brothers makes some of the best. They have clay bar kits and all kinds of stuff. There's a lot of different product combinations to use. A friend of mine has been using that stuff since 2006 on his 2006 Charger and it's now 2018 and his car still looks brand spanking new, even sitting out in the sun all of these years. It's a lot of work to do that stuff. When you use the clay bar, it gets rid of all of the old wax and dirt and prepares it for the wax. Otherwise, I'd use Mequires and a good orbiter.
