Hello everyone I am currently on vacation and just killing some time so I figured I would start a build thread for my truck. Since this is the first post I'll start off my saying I got this truck in 2010 for around 12k. Its a standard cab with the 4.6 was all stock. Here is the first look! Thanks everyone! http://img.tapatalk.com/d036279a-becd-e026.jpg

Shortly after buying the truck I purchased a 2 and a half inch leveling kit for it, and 5 rims and tires from a brand new Ford raptor. 17 inch wheels with 35 inch bfg all terrains. I went ahead and got all of that put on for a clean look. But the truck slowed way down with those tires so I bought a Superchips plug and play programmer. I run the 87 octane tune. To give it a little noise I straight piped it after the cat. Sounds good and didn't lose too much power. Oh ya and after a while I just painted the rims black. And got the windows tinted for an overall clean street look.

From there I went ahead and painted the factory bumpers and grill all black. A few weeks later I pulled the front bumper off and cleaned it up to take it and drop it off to get a front tubed bumper fabbed. I also blacked out the tail lights and the Ford emblemshttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-ed5d-980a.jpg. http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-ed06-15dd.jpg

So at this point I just pretty much focussed on saving up some money for my front suspension. I worked in a car dealership and over the time I spent a lot of time getting the truck up to par and fixing little things here and there.
After a little while of searching I found a Camburg 7.0 mid travel front end for my truck. I drove to California and bought the kit and while I was there I bought 4new rims because they need to have a certain backspacing to clear the new spindles. . A 7.0 kit is a tubed upper arm with uniball, a spindle, full heimed steering, steel braided brake lines and a Coilover adapter. I'm running a sway away 8 inch 2.5 resi Coilovers. Here are some pics of the new suspension
And rims. Oh ya and I picked up glassworks unlimited front fiberglass.fenders to clear everything. The kit is 1.5 inches over per side. The fenders were black from another truck so I primered them in the time being. http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-7b39-9900.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-7b58-56c9.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-7b76-94c4.jpg

Then I went ahead and painted the front suspension components all black! Had to sand it all down and primer it then I ordered a new Camburg logo for the uppers http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-91b2-cd9d.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-9113-ecad.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-915e-5044.jpg

Well all the "chrome" accents were blacked out at thus point so I went ahead and sanded the crap out of those wheels I bought and sprayed those black as well. lol, actually looked good. Kept the chrome center cap for a while but eventually took them off. Rocked some company logos for a little also. http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-c28f-24fe.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-c2c6-6bb0.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-c2d9-baae.jpg. http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-c22e-927b.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-c251-6b33.jpg

I did little stuff here and there at this point. Got bullet caps for my valve stems and locks. Sound system. Added power locks and an alarm. But I got tired of the grey fenders but I didn't wanna fish out the cash for paint yet because I still wasn't sure which direction I was going to go in the future. After a little research I found out they made spray cans to paint match the paint code. Picked some up for super cheap and sprayed them lol let them dry in my room with a heater.

Once I was here I started doing a little offroading. meeting some more local off roaders here and there, loving every minute of the truck and the suspension. Lol then something happened. I was driving along a pretty smooth dirt road on the way to a trail and snap... My drivers side went slamming to the floor and truck was like a crashing plane, got it to stop and luckily it didn't happen in a bad place but the lower balljoint(the only ball joint my kit keeps) snapped. Anyways got it fixed out there with an AutoZone duralast balljoint to get it home. Once it was home I went to the internet to look up this problem and then outside to tear down the front end n find what caused the stud to sheer in half. I definitely did not want this to happen again at any high speeds or on the roads etc. also around this time I took the bed off to clean up some mud from when I first got the truck. http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-d9ff-a65f.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-da61-1376.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627a7-d946-0083.jpg

After that happened I went and first off bought some brand new moog balljoints. They are supposed to be heavy duty. Got the passengers side swapped out and then the drivers side I had done issues seating it properly. Long story short the spindle opening was messed up and I took it to a local fabrication shop called mcm fab and design and they took care of it and re tapered the spindle and seated in that balljoint. Now with those aftermarket balljoints I felt better. Since I had the front end apart I went ahead and cleaned and re lubed all the steering and uniball and heims. http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627df-11e3-93a8.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627df-127c-22e4.jpg

After all that I went ahead and started hitting the dirt here and there again and realized my stock rear end sucked. Not only that but my rear tires kept bottoming out and hitting the bedsides they didn't clear. So I talked with a guy in town and I got the "pulled bedsides" treatment. its where you cut a line in the inner fender well and make a gap and actually pull the bedsides out then put a bracket to hold it separated. At the same time I decided to ditch my tow package and also the rear bumper in future plans for a tubed rear bumper. Here are pics if the pulled bedsides.

Wanted to start going for a clean overall look so I decided to take the truck for a rear tubed bumper. As soon as it was back I painters that black as well and mounted my license plate on there and also got the bedsides cut at an angle http://img.tapatalk.com/d03627ae-3f3e-ed2d.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d03627ae-3ff0-b844.jpg

Well after this I went offroading and realized the pulled bedsides still barely cleared the tires. These tires were chewed up by now so I went ahead and bought four 35 inch bfg km2s. Right after this I got rid of my old alarm and had remote power start added and a new alarm system. Found some motivation in a parking garage lol http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/e5a6e2ah.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/6y2yjupe.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/agyvytaj.jpg

Thank you very much! Lol ya!

Well now that I had some parts sitting in the garage I was anxious to get them on. Keep in mind that the complete setup isn't going to get done overnight and I still have a lot of future plans for my build. Thanks guys. Anyways I went ahead and pulled off the glassworks front fenders and sold them to a guy in AZ. Then I took the opportunity to do a rubber(bedline) under costing on my inner fender well components for added protection. I also did my inner bedside wells. Since I was in the rubber coating mood I laid out my new fiberglass.and did the undersids of them as well for added durability and protection. Now that everything was good to go I found someone to install my fiberglass bedsides and cut off my old factory pulled ones. Also looked at a few clean and simple ideas for a bed cage and shock mounts etc. finally found a guy for a good price and started planning with him. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/dapaje9a.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/tu7utu4a.jpg

Well we got the plan figured out for the time being so I load up the fiberglass and shocks and money in the truck and drop it off at his garage. There he will cut off the bedsides, mount the fiberglass bedsides and cut them at an angle. Also mount the front fiberglass fenders and build the bedcage and cut through the bed and make tabs to my spring plates for lower shock. Here are some pics.also got my cab buffed and waxed to get all the surface scratches out http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/2yqanyvu.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/very6y6a.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/6udu7use.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/uzere4ej.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/ge4ene7u.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/esa4anyg.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/ajagy9uz.jpg

Well the trend continues.. Lol I began to sand down the bedcage and prepare it for paint. Pulled off the shocks and wanted to spray the spring plates and the cage where it is welded to frame to prevent rust and get a clean look. Sprayed it all black. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/byjatyve.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/une5u9yv.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/8ume5a4e.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/avuhymu7.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/he7urymu.jpg

After this it was time to have some more fun. Went out to the dirt a little. The set up is pretty fun and does decent in the dirt so I decided to put the whole suspension build up on hold for now. I do drive the truck a lot so I decided to start cleaning it up. Found a local guy to paint the truck. Going to do front first then rear after and off of the truck. While the fronts were off I got my hands on some free h.i.d converted offroad lights. Can't turn down free stuff so I through them on my bumper. Had to sand down the casings and paint them black. Got rid of the rust. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/y9y3ezas.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/yqudupy8.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/3a5uju7u.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/aby9unym.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/04/enuhy2a4.jpg

Got some pics of the fenders while they were drying then got them back and put them on. Now this is pretty much where the truck sits now. The bedsides are still waiting to go asap for paint. And I have 3 new tires waiting to go on the truck. Same km2s. So that will be the next update. So let me post the most current pics of the truck! Well we have a meet coming up soon so I am trying to do some stuff to the truck by then. Here are some updated. A few days ago I took off my bedsides because they went for paint and some minor body work. since they were completely off I redid a few mounts for them and sprayed a rubber undercoat into the entire fender well this time. I also have stripped the inside and cleaned Jr real well. Then went ahead and ditched the rubber floor and put carpet. Even carpeted my little cup holders and storage on the doors lol. Got some floor mats for now. But I just need my seats redone or some nice seat covers etc next. The truck was an old work truck and had a lot of stains. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/09/8apu3ama.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/09/2uvava3y.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/09/7eda7u5a.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/09/u3erysyq.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/09/09/ry5y2uha.jpg

Well I have the truck all together now and ready for my next desert meet. while the bedsides were out getting painted I finished carpeting my interior and got my seats detailed. I got two new km2s for my rear wheels and a third for my spare rim. I got the bedsides back and back on. I got a spare tire spinner and put that on in the bed further back to add a little weight and for a cleaner look. I trimmed a little in my fender well for some clearance and just kinda touched up a little got a new switch for my lights. Got my visors reupolstered. I might be missing some stuff but here are some pics.
