Well the economy is finally hitting me now I'm going to college an commuting for work. Just cant afford 9mpg that I'm getting outta of my truck. I still need a truck though so I'm gonna be going to a Powerstroke(7.3) or 1st gen Cummins so I can get the best mileage I can out of a truck. Anyways the reason I'm posting this is because I wanna know what you guys think I could get out of my truck or what you would pay. It's a 98, 4x4, 107k miles, Lariat, 3-door, Duramax towing mirrors, headache rack, no rips or anything in the seats, very clean an well taken care of truck. She's pretty stock besides the mirrors an rack. I havent messed with the engine, no accidents an 2-owner. I'm asking $7500 right now an was curious if you guys think I'll get around that or if I'm over pricing? I'm in a bit of a hurry to sell so I dont wanna over price an then wait weeks an weeks because no one is willing to pay that. Any advice or help would be very helpful.

Here's my ad on Auto Trader. I also have it on Craigslist.

You can ask it, but IMO- its over priced. I see it going for 4-5K. I saw a 2003 Lariat Screw with 65k miles go for 7 not too long ago

I dont mean to be rude, but I find it hard to believe it would go for that low. I paid 8500 for it a year ago with 100k miles an that was a good deal. At least where I'm at it was a good deal. That was from a dealership too. It's priced below the rest of the trucks like it on CL an it has lower miles than most of them. That screw might have had issues too. Could have been 2wd, maybe an accident or mechanical issues

^^ My point. No matter how much you look at it, its a 15 year old truck. With any sort of mods (exhaust, lights, etc) it lowers the value more since no 16 yr old girl or 80 yr old grandpa would buy a truck with exhaust. Stock is the best seller, especially when its a buyers market (which it is in Florida). There is a dealership down the road with a 2002 Harley Davidson Edition, 70k miles, 5.4L SCrew- all black leather, great condition, etc sitting on the dealers lot for 9,990 and its been sitting there for a while.

This is the value that I get when I put it in on kkb. This is with all the options that mine has. It is over priced according to this which I knew, but it's not down to the price that you guys are talking about. I'm also not putting the price higher because of the things Ive done to it. I did those things for myself so I wouldnt expect someone to pay extra for something I put on for my own purpose. You guys could very well be right, but I dont agree at the moment. If it was a little lower, maybe, but 4-5k is just way too low an I wont even sell it if that is what I'm going to get. Thanks for your input, but for now I'm going to keep it where it is. It's also a starting price. That's why it's higher than KBB that way I can work my way down.

An I apologize if I come across as rude, but it's a shock to me that you guys say it's worth that little. I'm sure you could understand that. I will keep what you guys said in mind an just see how it goes for a bit an if I'm not getting any bites than I'll lower the price or go a different route.

It does suck, doesn't it? I know you don't mean to be rude, but the 10th gen F-150 is the most common truck in the world. Heck, mine is only worth $2,500! I decided that when I get a new truck, I'm not even going to sell it. I'll keep it since its worth so little but drives nicely and runs great.

In the end, it is your truck and sell it for what you want. Who knows- you may get someone that buys it at what you list it at. I'm just typing what I know for the Florida region. glws.

Yeah it's just hard because im only 18 an going to be commuting to college an I already commute a little bit for work, but I have no credit since Ive never bought anything on credit before so I cant get a loan or anything like that so I have to try an get as much as I possibly can out of this an use what I have saved up that way I can get something halfway descent

Exactly. But if you do sell, don't let the bastid try to rip you off because you're young. Stand your ground!

I need to find a job or something. My truck LOVES the gas, I drive 40 miles one way to class, monday through friday. Only two more semesters, though! I cannot wait to make some money.

Oh I know. I'll be taking my father with me which is a hard person to screw over. He does alot of research before he goes an buys that way know one can rip him off. I think I got that covered an thank you for the words of wisdom haha I know it's a little thing an I shouldnt let it be such a big deal

Well my take on it is that the same reason you want to get rid of it ,is the same reason it might be hard to sell . With gasoline what it is right now. Most people are thinking twice about buying a gas hog right now. Like said you are young and trying to go to school take what you can get for it and move on . You can get another one later . BTDT
