Finally got my emblems done. I started with the idea to just color match the black text and it looked pretty good

1511

I decided i wanted something to set my truck further apart from the others driving around town that were the same color so I flipped my plan and went with blue surrounding black and I'm quite pleased with the results and the different look to set my truck apart from the rest of the pack

Tell me what ya think!

I cheated and used vinyl. If I ever justify spending more money on my 15 yr old truck, I'm going to debadge. But for badges, I really like yours!

I debadged my ranger, but it was in the body shop for a new front end because of a couple deer anyways so it was no biggie to weld the holes closed before they sprayed it

How'd you remove them and put them back?

The ol fishing line and blow dryer trick. Just run the blow dryer over em for a min to soften the adhesive then run the fishing line through (I used 25lb test) comes off pretty easily with some patience. Then get an adhesive remover and take off any leftover gunk and clean the area.

To put em back on I use 3M emblem adhesive found at any auto parts store. It's just like two sided foam tape, but is extremely sticky. Just be sure to clean any surface you'll be adhering to and slap em back on using the alignment pins on the badge.
