View Full Version : Edge CTS vs SCT programmers?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to program my ecoboost because I keep hearing about how good the tunes are and people are seeing a lot of gains from them. I was looking at either the EDGE CTS or the SCT. What's your preference? I hear more about the SCT then any others but EDGE still has some good reviews. Not to mention the BA touchscreen gauge display that comes with EDGE CTS. Just wondering what other opinions are before I spend $500-600.

Can I get some kind of display to give me boost readings and such with SCT?

my company truck has a edge programmer in it and I love it

I have had several different brands and like the edge the best. Lots of features, and the pod fits great, looks almost stock and stays there do you can change the tunes whenever you want.

SCT here! Great custom tunes from Torrie @ unleashedtuning.com. Price of the tuner comes with the canned tunes and 3 custom tunes. He has great customer service too! As far as a display gauge, there are some out there that will display different parameters by just plugging into your obd plug. Doesn't have to be a tuner to display the readings. You can do some data logging with the sct but it doesn't have a big fancy display like the cts does.

EDGE without a doubt! With the cts u can do back up cam u can change power levels on the fly u can buy more levels but it already comes with stock economy towing performance and extreme but u can monitor ton of stuff like boost trans temp fuel economy fuel rail pressure voltage exhaust gases and u can change the tunes on just about anything on the truck

Ok sct guys i need help programming my truck, the option it gives you for spark (0-2000) what do i imput there? I have an 02 5.4 with a cam. Already set on 91 fuel, cam, gears 456

RobbyVmedia,

Given your current setup, you can add +3 for spark. Are you running a mild cam? If it is a mid-aggresive cam you may be leaving a good bit on the table.
