I paid just under $34 for a crew cab 4x4 XLT 5.0 with the chrome package ,18" wheels, sync, carpet floor mats,and limited slip axle. Just wish I would have got the backup camera for hooking up trailers and leather for cleanup reasons.

i paid $20,1XX for my 07 XLT Supercab with 23K miles, 5.4, 4x4, chrome pkg, power everything, two tone paint, auto lamps, adj pedals, CD changer, and i have a 1yr/12K mile bumper to bumper warrenty and a 2.5 yr/75K powertrain warrenty...i highly suggest looking at certified pre-owned trucks

You may just get a quote from a couple nearby dealers and pit them against each other. Most of them have the "we can beat that" attitude which can play big into your favor.

I would avoid the Ecoboost. At first mine was great but after 30k it started to shutter on light highway acceleration. It has been in and out of shop for 2+ months and Ford customer service has been useless. After 5 repair attempts I still have the problem and Ford is now saying it is normal. Not true just a cover up. If you want an F150 stick with the V8

Not sure. Up in Canada. We get hosed on prices. I do know I found it helpful to go to more than one dealership getting each one to beat the offer of the previous dealership until they've hit their limit. I didn't hide it either. Told them the best price I had gotten so far and if they wanted me to buy from them they would have to do better. It worked out for me.

The motor with more power will do better at a higher speed since it doesn't have to work so hard. And the EPA estimates are done at 60 mph so I'm guessing real highway speeds the turbos have the mileage advantage.

With some if the incentives and rates they have now I can literally pay off my truck with trade and get into a new ride for less than I'm paying now. I've already had a few out of town dealers ask me to trade mine in since it has such low mileage. The truck stickered for $44360. $36024 was their price, which included a $750 rebate mailer I rec' in the mail and $3500 ? of rebates from Ford Credit etc. I took the lower interest rate which wipe out the rebates from Ford Credit. I took 1.9% for 72 months. Got the payment down lower and I'm paying a little extra each month, so I'll be in a good position should a new model grab my eye. Like an upgraded EcoBoost around let's say 400+ HP.
My exact truck with similair miles (19,000) and equipment is retailing on the used lots now for around $34-36,000.

So I took my truck in to have em fix a rattle in the dash and they've got me driving a 5.0. It runs good, but I miss the feel of the boost. It's crazy how much difference the torque makes when you hammer down.

Well I guess I'll give my report on the FX4 I've been driving.

It is basically the base FX and I'm not impressed with the interior. Not saying its not nice for a truck, but its without several options my XLT has (adjustable pedals, dimming rear view and driver side mirror to name a few) with the sticker on my truck about 7K less.
It does have the flow thru console which I was skeptical of, but I like now. Seats are comfortable, but they're the same for all trim models except the leather/cloth difference.
One thing it has that I really wish mine did is the e-locking diff. That would be freaking sweet lol.
As for the exterior. It is a tux black which looks really good. Adding the flake to the black really makes it pop compared to the black that my 08 was. I do feel that the FX had too much of one color tho. Only thing that breaks up the black it the FX4 decal. Other than that its dark as night. The grille of the truck is horrible looking IMO. It has the painted surround which is nice, but the rest of it is all black plastic that just looks extremely cheap from the start.
Now for the motor. It's strong, plenty strong enough for everyday driving and road trips. However, it is not the throw you in your seat and keep you there kind of strong. It may be that I'm now too used to the boost of turbos, but the thing just isn't as exhilarating to drive as mine. It is quick enough for avg driver tho. Ya my truck is in the body getting a rattle in the dash fixed and they've got like 100 trucks to sell by the end of the month to make some quota so my salesman wanted me to test this out while mine was being worked on. Only reason I've got it is it was the only console shift 5.0 combo they had and I said if I upgraded it would be to a lariat with the console shifter

Ya it would of been silly to refuse it. They gave me 31,000 for my 2 year old truck that snickered just over 35,000. Plus came down under 40,000 from 46,000. So all in all my payment stayed the same for 10,000 more truck. At least before I added interior and exterior protection and a bed rug for dealer cost.

Figured out today the "intake" on my EB will transfer to the 5.0 so that's pretty sweet. It's basically just an open air box and big filter that hooks to the stock air tube.

I'm think bout 480 with minor work bro. Maybe it's just me. Everybody tells me that. But I always hold true to my word. I love hp. And I know so many ways to find it. As inexpensively as possible. 4800$ and made a 522hp beast that nobody's touched yet. Trust me homie. There is so much little and inexpensive stuff for ur new toy that is available and won't void your warranty. U have the same motor that is in the new monster they call mustang. There pushin 750 with no power adders. ( superchargers and turbos) 480 and 18-20 mph is not out of your horizon my friend. Ill start sending u things if u like

I've had the 4.6 5.4 combo for awhile. That's easy and kinda outdated hp. The 5.0 has a whole new realm of upencoming hp. That motor is 800 capable as it sits. But lets b real. Ud like that. But of course your not lookin fer that Killer power at small price is there my friend. It's on !
