So this is my first truck. I want to make it a cool truck. It has three rust spots but thats it. Bottom of left fender and on top of both wheel.arches.on the bed. Has a 302 in it. Wanting ti fix this up.ti make a cool truck.
What kind of stuff can i do to make this truck cool?
Chips? Wheels and tires i was thinking for sure, leveling kit, the rake is steep.on this truck.
Maybe fix up the rust spots and do some engine.mods. I can work on cars and trucks.

So any advise.on what i.should do.
Exhaust wheels and tires, body, etc

Here is what i was thinking.
Leveling kit
Wheels and tires. Unsure which.styles yet
Flowmaster super 10s or straight pipe
Cold air kit
Maybe a cam unsure which.one.would be.good for a goid sound and good power onroad

Truth.be told i just need some ideas.

Anything helps. Thanks.

Oh and a cool radio too.

Most stuff im doing is hauling lawn equipment and a trailer with dirtbikes and quads but mostly a daily driver to school

Dude. Big money. Lol. Take it easy. Lol. Get a cool flowmaster exhaust. Make it loud and proud ya know. But the advise I was givin on my first car. "if u wanna go fast. U Gota b able to stop. Slotted cross drilled rotors and set of good brake pads. Lots of stuff out there fer that motor bud. Your gonna have a blast.

Intake, air kit, good plugs wires rotor. Msd ignition, headers. Bigger throttle body. Pulleys. Electric fans. Good heavy duty alternator. I have a super 44 on my truck. I love the flowmaster sound. But I would like it a little louder. But it's all in what u like

U should put some pics in.

Drilled and slotted rotors are only useful on a track setting when you have steel pads and you are creating excessive heat. For a truck, the slots and holes means the pads have less friction surface area to bite into which equates to less braking friction. Save your money- the stock rotors are more than enough (they are double-walled with internal fins). Carbon brake pads wouldn't hurt, but you won't tell a difference over stock.

The best thing you could do for better braking performance is steel-braided lines from the booster to the caliper. Ford has always given their vehicles excessively-thin lines and they bulge first before going into the caliper.

I learned the hard way lol. I spent $300 on drilled/slotted rotors and asked a few guys about it after I didn't feel a difference and thats what they told me. Went back and got regular ones- they feel better. Don't eat up the pads as quick, either lol

I wasnt going to upgrade the brakes much. The most i was thinking was a lift or leveling kit. Then for more power maybe a mustang 5.0 intake, bigger throttle body, cold air or turbo wgen i get money, exhaust, bigger rims and tires. Has 30's now. What would be a good size? also do they make tuners for this truck

Whats the biggest tire size you can fit on these trucks with stock rims and stock lift.
Also about the rake, i know on jeepa people put the leafs ontop of the axle instead of on bottom as a small lift, could i reverae that and level the truck.out? ill take some measurements and see but is that possible on these?

So I'm turning 16 in a month. So my truck is going to bedlinered, still trying to findout what kind is the best. Need some help. Then I'm going to free up the exhaust, I think there are 3 cats on this thing. Might just get rid of all of them and go mani back straight pipe or super 10's. I'm also going to lower the rear end to get it sitting the way I want. That way I won't loose the great ride qualities of this truck.

All that stuff shouldn't be to expensive and it will look good.

Now my expensive plans, cam the truck,
Do I really need new headers or are stock fine?
Maybe a different intake Mani, any good suggestion? Maybe a BBK twin intake, and I think that's good enough.

What cam should I look into?

Now the radio, every highschool kid wants a better radio than stock. What's some really good speakers, etc that will sound alright?

Well I've been having problems with the frot tank not pumping, my dad hasn't used it in 5 years, the rear tank started do the same, so we are fixing the front, needs a new fuel pump so I dropped the tank today and got the pump out. The sock was nasty and te gas was green. Drained it and we are gunna clean it out as get a new pump. Might have to do that to the rear too.

So my leveling kit came in yesterday. It's two circular aluminum spacers about 2 1/2 inches tall with a screw I. The center. How do I intstall this? So I have to remove the tie rods etc.?
