So im turning 16 in about 3 months. My dad is giving me his first truck he bought.new. Hes had this 1995 ford f150 with a 5.0 2wd truck. Hes had it from 95 and its been his main truck until this year he is getting a 2013 f150.
So its my truck now. Cant wait to start working on this truck.
Now about me. Ive been working on cars since very young with my grandpa in his garage. He was a mechanic for 40 years. Weve built lots of stuff and worked on hundreds of cars.
I know how to work.
I hope to start a thread here where i can get some good help and oppions on how to make this a cool first truck.
Ive been driving cars and trucks since very young too. I started driving in a old ford taurus in a parking lot at 5. been driving cars, fourwheelers dirtbikes etc since.

So thats me and i cant wait to get into this forum!

Welcome. You'll love the 5.0L. My friend has a 1995 5.0L as his daily, it sounds GREAT with some magnaflows under it.

Standing them up will give u even more room lol

masonis1
10-09-2012, 06:18 PM
Yeah hah only had one strap so this was the best way.
Hey do you know what I need to do to install my leveling kit

Jersey_Joe
10-09-2012, 06:47 PM
Hahaha. U need another strap. Lol

Honestly I don't. But I'm sure it's not that hard. I've just never done one. Not a fan. But to each there own. I'm sure its very easy.

masonis1
10-10-2012, 09:09 PM
Ok cool, thanks. I'll figure it out. Wb exhaust, do I need a turn down if I dump right after the muffler?

Jersey_Joe
10-10-2012, 09:23 PM
A dump?!? If u want. That's what I would do. Dump it out of the muffler

masonis1
10-11-2012, 03:34 PM
Ok thanks. And what can I do to reduce drone from the super 10

Jersey_Joe
10-12-2012, 03:45 AM
Get a 40 or 50 series

masonis1
10-12-2012, 08:25 AM
Which is louder

Jersey_Joe
10-12-2012, 10:16 AM
40 is louder. Lower the # louder it is

justyman32
10-12-2012, 11:33 AM
Louder is better :-) except with a headace

masonis1
10-13-2012, 02:06 PM
Oh now I understand

masonis1
10-14-2012, 07:37 AM
If I go no cats straight pipe with only a super 10, how much power can I expect to gain from that much freer exhaust flow?

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 07:58 AM
Do you have 4 cats on your truck or 2?

2002 Supercrew Lariat... Straight axle conversion with 22" of lift in progress!!!

masonis1
10-14-2012, 08:09 AM
I think there are two and a large muffler.

masonis1
10-14-2012, 08:09 AM
It's a 95 f150 xl

masonis1
10-14-2012, 08:10 AM
302 sorry

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 08:19 AM
I have 4 cats on my truck and I cut 2 of them out and I actual lost a little bit of power.

2002 Supercrew Lariat... Straight axle conversion with 22" of lift in progress!!!

masonis1
10-14-2012, 08:23 AM
So you lost power by freeing up too much

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 08:29 AM
Yes. You need a certain amount of back pressure for power. Of course my truck is straight piped so your muffler might get you the pressure you need.

2002 Supercrew Lariat... Straight axle conversion with 22" of lift in progress!!!

masonis1
10-14-2012, 08:31 AM
I was planning in going 2 1/2 inch pipe all the way back.

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 08:38 AM
Yeah that's what mine is

2002 Supercrew Lariat... Straight axle conversion with 22" of lift in progress!!!

Ok, I'll try it and keep my cats just in case

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 08:44 AM
You can always cut them out later. It's easier to cut them out than having to put them back on lol

2002 Supercrew Lariat... Straight axle conversion with 22" of lift in progress!!!

masonis1
10-14-2012, 09:02 AM
Ok what's the sound difference with them on an off

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 09:06 AM
It definitely makes it a lot louder. I was going for sound instead of power. It will give it a little popping every now and then though

2002 Supercrew Lariat... Straight axle conversion with 22" of lift in progress!!!

masonis1
10-14-2012, 09:10 AM
Like a rumble? Or pop pop pop kinda sound?

DDARBY
10-14-2012, 09:24 AM
Pop sound when cold. But when it warms up it def rumbles. If you have a muffler it may not pop at all. I wouldn't know because I've never owned a muffler.

10-14-2012, 10:16 AM
I'm not sure on that topic. I've never messed with it

Hahah alright cool. Good to know. What about intake, how can I get it flowing better

For your intake if you still have the stock air intake system, you can replace it with a cold air intake (not entirely sure they have any for a 95), or a performance air intake kit, K&N makes a lot, just look around on parts websites and definitely read the reviews to see what's best because I don't know for a 95.

masonis1
10-16-2012, 07:00 PM
Ok sounds good, or should I put a better mustang intake?

RhinoZ24
10-16-2012, 08:38 PM
You could, like I said I'm not too sure about 95's, but it should work all the same since they used the 5.0L for the Mustang as well

masonis1
10-17-2012, 12:23 PM
Yeah I wonder if they are the same blocks for each.

RhinoZ24
10-17-2012, 02:23 PM
I would assume so, because I have an 05 with the 4.6L and I know you can take the turbo from the 4.6L Mustang and use it on the truck, so it should be the same for the 5.0L and the 95, but research it because somebody else may have done it already.

masonis1
10-17-2012, 06:05 PM
Ok tha ks I'll try that

RhinoZ24
10-18-2012, 12:51 AM
No problem and hopefully you can find something that works and is reasonably priced.

masonis1
10-18-2012, 03:17 PM
Yeah thanks again

masonis1
10-22-2012, 05:41 PM
Finally got my license, time to work on this truck

RhinoZ24
10-22-2012, 05:58 PM
Awesome, just try to drive the speed limit. Jk lol.

masonis1
10-23-2012, 11:48 AM
Hah will do

masonis1
10-24-2012, 07:36 PM
Well anybody got some good knowledge on stripping bumpers and cleaning rust then repainting?

RhinoZ24
10-24-2012, 09:08 PM
For stripping the paint, paint-thinner I guess not too sure. For the rust, believe it or not Coke-a-Cola works wonders, saw that on Mythbusters haha. WD-40 works pretty well too. It'll take a little elbow grease but it'll work. For repainting, go to your local auto parts store and find replacement paint that matches the original color, or any color you want if you choose a different one. Should have some in a spray can to make it easier.

masonis1
10-25-2012, 11:05 AM
Well I'm going to strip them down, clean them up, prime them, then Bedliner them

RhinoZ24
10-25-2012, 11:35 AM
Going to make them indestructible eh? haha yeah just use some paint thinner to take off the paint and some of the chemicals I said before with some elbow grease to clean them up, then go get them sprayed with bedliner.

masonis1
10-25-2012, 04:44 PM
Thanks.

Drove the truck a little yesterday and I gotta say, I love the truck. But it seems to vibrate when I hit the brakes like the rotors are bent, it has some nice get up and go, had to drop off my Gf and I was going 60, had to get off the next exit and I forgot to get over, stomp on it to get past some cars to get over, look down an I'm at 85, I like the get up,

I think a new exhaust and my leveling kit will make this truck mine.

Any help on the brakes?

Jersey_Joe
10-28-2012, 10:25 AM
Rotors and brakes and maybe a tire balance?

But I would try brakes and rotors first. Easy fix bro.

----------

And warped is the word u are looking for. Bent would be very very bad. Lol

masonis1
10-28-2012, 11:38 AM
Hahah warped, my bad. Well it might a balance issue too because arpud 72-75 it starts to vibrate then at any speed when slowing down it vibrates, nothing big but just annoying

Jersey_Joe
10-28-2012, 01:51 PM
Haha. Well. Wouldn't hurt. Th place where ingot ur tires should do them fer free. Every 3k bro

masonis1
10-28-2012, 03:13 PM
They need rebalanced every 3k?

Jersey_Joe
10-28-2012, 07:56 PM
Well. I've always been told to rotate every 3k. I'm sure there r people that don't agree. But my father pounded that in my head growing up. So I do every 3k

masonis1
10-28-2012, 08:09 PM
I might try that

RhinoZ24
10-29-2012, 12:23 AM
I had a vibration in the front end in mine when I went above 35, plus a louder noise, thought it was the tires. Turned out it was my hub bearings. Had to replace both on the front, so it might be the same for you. BTW Ford has a crappy design, the hub bearing and brake rotor are all one part, so you have to replace both, about $350 for each bearing, so if that's your problem, try and find a conversion kit like I did so that the next time one needs replaced it's the only thing you'll need to replace instead of both.

masonis1
10-29-2012, 09:57 PM
Wow I'll check ut

RhinoZ24
11-14-2012, 12:55 PM
So any news? Haven't heard back recently.

masonis1
11-16-2012, 04:22 PM
Been driving the truck to school. It's still my dads truck until jan 1 when he gets his new truck, 2013 f150 so then I'll start the mods

RhinoZ24
11-16-2012, 06:33 PM
Oh I see lol. And then all the fun starts.

Raptor05121
11-16-2012, 07:23 PM
Well. I've always been told to rotate every 3k. I'm sure there r people that don't agree. But my father pounded that in my head growing up. So I do every 3k

I've heard 10-15K. Sooner certainly is better, but for some it would cost too much or be too much time. I rotate my tires at home using a jack and jack stands so its a PITA for me. I do mine every ~15K.

masonis1
11-18-2012, 10:41 AM
Sure does, I'm putting the exhaust on first then when it gets warm I'll put the leveling kit on. Got some ideas on the inside. I have some racing seats I will throw in and then I have a couple boxes if speakers and subs I'll throw in the center. Should e cool if it works. Hah.
Still deciding on rims whether I should just paint mine now or get different rims.

RhinoZ24
11-18-2012, 10:58 AM
Sounds great, I just ordered my exhaust kit, just have to wait for it to show up lol. Then next is a cold air intake and maybe a leveling kit.

masonis1
11-18-2012, 02:03 PM
Yep what exhaust did you get? Also are you going to install it yourself or har a muffler shop?

RhinoZ24
11-18-2012, 05:26 PM
I got the Flowmaster American Thunder with the 40 Series muffler. and I'm going to install it myself. It's all clamps holding it together.

masonis1
11-19-2012, 06:33 AM
Ok cool I'm planning on a super 10 and just 2 1/2" from the manifolds to super 10 then a turn down

Jersey_Joe
11-19-2012, 03:36 PM
Super 10's sound awesome. I have the super 44's. and can't wait to get em.

RhinoZ24
11-19-2012, 07:23 PM
Most of Flowmaster's line-up sounds pretty great lol.

masonis1
11-19-2012, 09:08 PM
Yep. Since I have a 95 and in MO you don't need emissions for 96 and older I'm going basically straight pipe. No cats, just the manifold to the collector to a 2 1/2" pipe to super 10 then down. Should be nice and loud. Might even free up some power,

RhinoZ24
11-19-2012, 09:33 PM
That truck is going to sound beastly lol. And yeah it might, or at least make it sound like it did haha.

masonis1
11-20-2012, 06:31 AM
Hah I plan on some power adders through its life

RhinoZ24
11-20-2012, 11:47 AM
Same here for mine, you can never have to much HP.

masonis1
11-20-2012, 02:25 PM
Well from the Internet, I apparently have 195 hahah. Hopefully I have some more. Atleast more than 270. I need some advice on what to get. I heard you can adjust the timing to 13 degrees am get the most power from stock motor without knock. Do you know what it's at now? Stock. And also, what can I do and how much I can expect from that?

----------

If anyone has info on timing the 302 for more power, can you post the link or give the info. That seems free and you get more power.

masonis1
11-20-2012, 08:43 PM
I found some speakers for my truck 40 bucks for 2 6 1/2" Sonys and 2 6x8" pioneers

----------

Anyone know whih is better? Mtx 6x8 3way speakers or pioneer 6x8 3way speakers?
Then I can also get 2 pioneer 6 1/2" 220amp 3way

masonis1
11-21-2012, 10:51 PM
So got 4 new speakers 2062
Installed the left rear. Installing doors tomorrow and I need to figure out why my right side speakers don't work. Speakers were good but the wires too aren't or something is loose. Any help?

Also, with hooking up an amp. How do I set it up? I have a power from the battery and a ground. Then I have the wires from the head unit going in. I really need to get behind the head unit and make sure verything is connected.

I'd like to get the amp working and get more power out - atleast to the rear speakers, if anyone has a wiring diagram that would be perfect. Hah

masonis1
11-24-2012, 12:56 PM
Got rims for Christmas! 2074

Jersey_Joe
11-24-2012, 01:04 PM
The radio has a remote wire. That needs to go to the amp. Then ur power and ground. Try to keep you remote wire and power wire away from each other as u run them because u will hear an engine wine through ur speakers. Should sound great. Rims look bangin!! Good luck with everything. Make sure u send some pics too kid. Lol. Good luck.

masonis1
11-24-2012, 02:19 PM
I heard the engine and the amp didn't power the speakers as much as the hu so I removed it. Any reasons why it's not putting out as much?

----------

I still need to know why my right rear speaker isn't working still. After that it will be fine for me.

Rims should be in soon. Then first of te year I'll install the leveling kit, and get the tires mounted.

Jersey_Joe
11-24-2012, 03:38 PM
Well. What kind of power is the amp pushing. Or. How many watts is it? How did u want to distribute it? By 2 or by all 4. Makes a difference.

masonis1
11-24-2012, 03:58 PM
I'm not sure what would you sugget for 2 pioneer 6x8 240a max 3way speakers?

----------

Someone wants to trade me for some speakers I have for a fogsgate 120a I think

Jersey_Joe
11-24-2012, 04:20 PM
Well u have to find out what kind of power your amp puts out first. Then u can distribute it accordingly For instance. 100w amp. U can put 50 to two. Or u can bridge it and put 25 to 4 speakers. Understand? So that's how u divi em up. Is ur radio new? Or is it older. U may have a Channel bad. That's why the speaker isn't working. Or it could just be the wire. Sorry I'm not much help. Wish I could see it so I could help u

masonis1
11-24-2012, 05:16 PM
The amp is a 40 and and the head unit is a month old its 45x4 I think kenwood hu.

----------

How would I know which wire to use and would that fozgate amp be good?

masonis1
12-06-2012, 09:34 PM
Hey so I really need exhaust help

Should I go from manifolds back, no cats just a super 10 or...
Cut behind cats and put the super 10 on.

What are the benefits of each and what can I expect if I do?

RhinoZ24
12-06-2012, 11:50 PM
Well if you get rid of the cats it'll be a little louder then if you left them on, but shouldn't you need them to pass a smog test or is that just in California (probably just California). Anyways, performance will be about the same with both, maybe a bit better without the cats, but probably not noticeable. It all depends on how loud you want your truck to be and how much money you want to spend lol.

masonis1

If it's 1995 or older it doesn't have to take emissions tests only inspection test. Mine 1995 so I got lucky and was at the border.

But I heard that too straight through can loose power

RhinoZ24
12-07-2012, 11:00 AM
Lucky...lol. And yes you can, your exhaust system is designed to have backpressure, too much is bad and you lose power since you choke your engine basically and too little is bad because you start to lose torque. Like I said, it's up to you sound wise. If you don't tow anything, I wouldn't worry about losing the cats and a little torque. Sorry, I should've said that in the last post, should've been a little bit less, instead of a little better, but it still won't be very noticeable. If you're going to tow something or if your looking for more power, then keep the cats on.

So the truck had a problem...

Water pump had a leak so my dad, and I went to take it off and replace, we'll two bolts broke off at the timing chain cover and another head broke off. We got the pump off and then proceeded to take the timing chain cover off. We went ahead and changed the timing chain... 156xxx on the truck. And a new timing chain cover. New water pump on too.

I'll try posting some pictures

Hey, so now that I have my new exhaust on ,YouTube.com/masonis1 to hear it coming up, I want to get more power now. Can someone tell me what heads I have on my 302? Also, anyone have some good links to porting instructions?

Jersey_Joe
01-02-2013, 01:42 PM
Ford racing.com bro. They got it all

masonis1
01-03-2013, 07:06 PM
I'll look there. Any ideas on which heads I have?

Another question is, which could I get more power from? Same heads I have now stock ported or a gt40 or gt40p ported? I'm really looking to port a set and then put a more aggressive cam in.

----------

Just went to ford racing. Where do I go to find tutorials etc.

masonis1
01-09-2013, 08:52 PM
Any ideas?

RhinoZ24

Joe would have the answer for that, pm him.

masonis1
01-13-2013, 02:39 PM
Ok joe, would you know if gt40p heads would fit up to my intake now? The stock manifold? I know my exhaust manifold wouldn't fit but I haven't seen about the intake.

It looks like pick n pull will take 45 bucks per head. I think I could do heads and maybe 1.7 or 1.6 rockers or a cam.

If the intake won't fit for a gt40p what about on a gt40 set?

Jersey_Joe
01-13-2013, 03:27 PM
Mason. I'm not sure about the P heads. However. The gt40 heads r bullit proof b to the a. They r deff worth it. Ill have to do some research about the p heads. I haven't had a fox motor in awhile. But the gt40 heads will wake that sum bich up somthin fierce!

----------

If u through a half cam or 1/4 cam in. Would b sweet

----------

I misunderstood your question. It will to the 40's. the P heads I'm not to sure of. Like I said. Haven't had a fox motor in awhile

masonis1
01-13-2013, 04:18 PM
Alright sounds good. And what is a half cam? Also, from someone who has done this, sorry to ask, but how much am I looking at price for this? 100 for heads, 150 for cam if I get one, or I could get rockers that are longer.

What are the stock length of rockers?

Those are 80 or 100 for a set, and with the heads I will need a gasket kit, rtv sealant, coolant, oil.

So it sounds like I'm looking at about 350-400 bucks or how much?

Jersey_Joe
01-13-2013, 04:21 PM
Ur gettin the heads from a junk yard!?! 1/4 cam 1/2 cam 3/4 cam. Or full race cam. That's how I've always identified them by there #'s. sorry. That's my dads fault. Lol. If ur gettin all that. Your winning kid. Cause heads r big money. Good luck.

masonis1
01-13-2013, 04:27 PM
I'm going to make a parts list and let's see what I'll need

Gt40 heads from 95-97 explorer
Head gaskets
Coolant
Oil
Cam shaft
Rockers

Do I need valve springs with a cam per .500 lift?

My uncle has a valve finisher or whatever it's called, should we port the gt40 on top of just putting them in too?

Ok so now for part numbers

I want a street able cam, under .500 so I won't need springs if it is true above.
What size rockers, 1.6 or 1.7 and what is the stud diameter I would need?

Joe your a huge help

----------

Heads would be from a junkyard. I understand the cam now. So heads from a junkyard, are they still big money?

Looking at cams, how long should the duration be and what is a good lift?

----------

Ok so I'll get the heads mount them up hopefully with a new cam and rockers.

I heard if you get longer rockers its almost the same as getting a bigger cam, is it true?

I told my uncle who got me hooked on motors and stuff that after we put the flowmaster on I turn overdrive off. He's like so it's louder! And I'm like yay! And he's like, there goes your gas. I just laughed an was like, totally worth it. Puts a smile on my face.

Now a question I know you really can't answer but how much hp should I expect with that cam and gt40 heads running pump gas

Well things I'm going to be doing soon I hope, truck passed inspection a week ago so now I want to delete the cat.
Any advise on doing that? I was thinking about just putting a Y in and a piece of pipe in place of the cat. I'm not sure but that should make it louder too correct? I also see shorty headers cheap on CL. Those two things will give a little more power and be louder.

Well another thing that's been on my mind, my uncle gave some good advice, he said," don't do much work on the engine or drivetrain until you have a second vehicle so you aren't without a vehicle.

The problem is I want a fast car or truck too.

My idea was to buy a rolling mustang, maybe a v6 and drop a v8 from junkyard or CL in.
Someone tell me what that would take to swap engines. Or should I just save for a v8 mustang or car and fix up instead of doing a swap.

Hah a lot going through my head. Hah

RhinoZ24
02-06-2013, 10:59 PM
Getting rid of the cats will make your truck louder and the idea with the pipe to replace it should work. As for the second car, you could get a V6 Mustang and swap engines, the engine compartment is the same whether V6 or V8, it was designed to fit both so it should have all the mounting holes for the V8. As for which way is cheaper, Idk lol.

Jersey_Joe
02-07-2013, 04:58 AM
Sounds great. Why not do both. Fast truck. Fast car. I like the way u think. Lol
Go with a GT platform. Then u have the block. All the components and u can start. U can with a 6 but can b a headache switching. Believe me. Lol

masonis1
02-07-2013, 08:52 PM
Well I was planning on getting a motor, getting it fixed up with gt40 heads, ported and polished, nice big cam, 1.6 rockers, would I need forged pistons or rods without boost? And then maybe run it carbed with a Holley...? How hard is it to turn efi to carb

masonis1
02-09-2013, 02:59 PM
Will long tube headers from a mustang same year fit on my truck? I found some for 25 bucks but again, they are for a fox body

masonis1
02-13-2013, 09:43 PM
So I washed the truck today and got some great pictures

This weekend I have a long 4 day weekend so I will be doing some stuff to the truck.

1. Seafoam oil and gas
2. Fix door panels
3. Replace PCV
4. Might delete cats

I have a oil change coming up in about 300 miles so I'll add seafoam to the oil and run it until I change my oil. Then I'll run through gas and intake to clean the injectors and combustion chambers.

The door panels are rattling from some broken clips from when I put new speakers in.

The PCV hasn't been replaced in a while "dad doesn't remember last time it was ever done" and the truck is starting to burn more oil. Use to be about a qt between oil changes. Now it's more than that, could also be how I'm driving :)).

Also, when idling I hear a rattling from under the truck. Almost like a exhaust or some plate rattling. Not in the motor I don't think but maybe a plate or hairs is coming lose... Any ideas??

RhinoZ24
02-14-2013, 04:22 PM
Was the truck off when you checked? Try it with it idling if you didn't so you can zero in on the rattle. And I know how you feel with the bottoming out lol, my old '71 Buick I used to drive had worn out shocks and suspension, every bump or dip I hit...BAM!! Lol, it was the kidney killer haha.

Alright so today I have to get seafoam and some other stuff but I'm worried about the seafoam. Don't really know how to do it. I've read half in a half tank of gas, half in oil, half sucked up by brake booster vacuum line. Where is the vacuum line and how do I get the line off and to suck up the seafoam?

----------

Well went to oriellys. Got two cans of it. The guy showed me the vacuum line. So I'm gunna put half in my back tank, half full, half in oil, and I'm still wondering if I should put it in the vacuum line, I heard it can remove carbon that's built up that helps the engine. Truck just turned 157000 last night.. Ideas?

RhinoZ24
02-15-2013, 10:36 AM
It'll help the engine if you put it in the fuel system, and possibly the oil, but Idk about the brake lines. I'm a little skeptical about it's "cure-all" properties. But yeah, at least add it to your gas because it will clean your fuel system.

Jersey_Joe
02-15-2013, 11:19 AM
Zmax mason. Every 6,000 miles. Oil and gas treatment. Kiss ur probs goodbye

----------

Not a fan of the foam from the sea

masonis1
02-15-2013, 12:14 PM
Hah not in the brake lines.. Hah you take the brake booster vacuum line off to te engine and let the engine suck it up. Hah. Well I did it all, fixed pcv, broke some vacuum lines while doing that but got them fixed, sea foam in oil, gas and through intake. Let it sit for 30 minutes, fired it up, ran like ****, blew the seafoamn out with some hard 0-60 pulls like they said and it's great. Runs better or seems too. I'm happy, the pcv was going out, literally it was only barely in the valve cover and the spring inside is worn out bad... Original from factory hah. Should've been changed almost 3 times... But it runs good now and everything is good

So I took the grill and side views off, got all the plastics up front sanded and primed, the side views are already painted, flat black, on the grill, I'm doing the inside of the holes gloss black, then a dark green ring around the top of the inlets and the top sure face flat black. Everything should be finished tomorrow

masonis1
02-18-2013, 02:39 PM
So I got the grill put back on and it looks mean, except some paint did blister but I cover Ed them with stickers. Hah but anyway, if you've owned a truck like mine, when you put the key in or have a door open there is a loud buzzing noise that goes away when you either close the door or turn the key, well I found the box it comes from, it's under the dash and has about 6 wires going into it. If you take the connector off it stops all the buzzing! Yes!!! Yes it still turns on and everything but no buzzing, lights still come on when you open the door and verything. My question is, there a problem with doing this or could it mess anything up!?

masonis1
02-18-2013, 02:40 PM
Close up

RhinoZ24
02-18-2013, 02:44 PM

masonis1
02-18-2013, 06:28 PM
Well it's gunna stay unplugged.
Well last thing for this long weekend, I put new lights in my instrument panel, at night I could only see my speed 70-90, everything else was black, now it's green again.

Well, in Stl we got some snow as y'all may know.

Just gunna say it, got in a little wreck. Slid down a hill couldn't stop, started going off to the right right behind a Tahoe so I tried turning into the grass to miss it and clipped the parked cars bumper... Can't even tell anything on his, mine has some cracked plastic, ill need a new head light assembly but my dad found some 12 bucks online. He called the cops for literally two scratches on the bumper and a ding on the quarter panel that I don't even think was from me. Anyway, cop didn't file a police report so he can't get too much from me

RhinoZ24
02-23-2013, 04:45 PM
Touch up paint and he's good lol. And that sucks though, glad I don't have snow here.

masonis1
02-24-2013, 09:05 PM
Exactly, well we haven't heard anything from our insurance company so maybe nothing even happened.

So today I changed the oil, gotta say the sea foam got it pretty clean! There was some stuff in it but now it's all clean.
Also rotated the rear tires hah, one wheel peels put extra wear on the right rear tire

RhinoZ24
02-24-2013, 09:42 PM
Haha yeah that'll happen lol. And hopefully nothing happens with the guy.

RhinoZ24
02-26-2013, 07:49 PM
That guy is a b**** tell him to f*** off haha. It's not that noticeable, it's not like you completely rear ended him and dented stuff. The bill will be under $100 and the insurance companies will laugh at it lol.

masonis1

The engine is running better than it ever has, even before I had the truck, never had this much power when my dad was driving it. 0-60 times are quicker and it pulls faster, my gas mileage is actually going up, I'm using less oil and the engine is even running cooler. Seafoam has been probably one of the best 15 bucks I've spent

masonis1
02-28-2013, 08:07 PM
Hey, we'll in one of my tires I had "impact" unrepairable damage. I have a 275 sized spare on with 30"s everywhere else, my grandma and I are trying to put a patch or fill the hole that caused the damage that autotire wouldn't fix,
Anyway my bfg 30x9.5-15 are 260 a piece now! Rare tire. So anyone either know a cheap place to get them used if we can't patch this? When I put the levelin kit I have on it I can clear 33"s so I'm looking for some alt 30-33x9.5-10.5 -15 anyone know of some cheap alt's??
