Missing check valve connection

So this is my first post and I am hoping someone can please help me. I tuned up my 04 v8 4.6L, and after I was finished I notices a tube that was disconnected. I am pretty sure it is a vacuum line of some type, but I will attach a picture. Can anyone look at this picture or their engine and tell me what this is supposed to connect to?! Thanks!!

Oh yeah, forgot to post this, but mine has the same thing. I think it's just a vent hose because mine was just loose too.
