Having issues with a truck that hasnt been fired up in about 3 yrs.
Battery was dead & replaced. No luck. Al I hear or feel is a solid hit from the starter kicking out but not enough to turn over. Took the starter to the Patsy housr, 'they' sat its good.. its is kicking out & spinning - but no load on starter.
Way back in the day I worked in a parts house, when we bench tested a starter, we mounted it and then used an old wood hammer handle to hold against the Bendix RI see if it would kick out, or just spin without engaging the flywheel.
Any ideas??
