I concur. That should b something u can do when u leave the house. When I was a kid. I think I was 9. I got jumped by 5 16 year olds. The beat me pretty bad. Took my bike and left me for dead. My father put me in karate class 3 days a week until I was 18. Nobody ever hurt me again.

He came back at 0300 this am and we had to deal with him again. He now has a black eye 2 broke ribs a broke nose and 4 holes in him where the local S.O. Tazed him.
I know how to fight and I've won and lost my fair share but in the hospital they don't want us to fight we are to restrain the person if at all possible.Personally I'd rather knocked him out and been done with it but I can't. Anytime you'd like to meet and fight I'd meet you halfway cause I ain't scared of anyone I just go into a fight thinking this may hurt. Fighting don't scare me either but blood born pathogens do and if they're in a hospital it's a good possibility they may have something I don't want.

I think the bearing(s) is going out on either the idler or the tensioner pulley(s), and now the belt is also making noise (like a cat being stretched a few yards), so she is getting some love. New tensioner, new idler, and new belt.

Not a chance. I hate working on vehicles. I'll do my own brakes, and will be doing so in the next month or two ( pads and rotors), but that's about it. I fix enough crap all week, I'm not wasting my weekend(s) piddle-fuching around with my vehicle. There are goods folks who do it for a living, so I'll let them tackle mine. I'd rather play, or tackle some other project.

Clean bill of health, and purring like a mute kitten. Ended up replacing all 3 of the pulleys and the tensioner, as well as a nice new belt. Next will be new rotors and pads, but those I will do myself.

Speaking of which......Anyone have any opinions on rotors and pads? I would like better stopping power, but as little brake dust as possible. I don't tow nearly as much as I used to, so I don't need the heaviest of duty, but if I am going to replace them, I would like to improve on the performance if possible.

There is a popular kit online. I actually think Ted has them Grabber70mach. Ebc makes a nice pad. If it was a race car lol. I would say cross drilled and slotted rotors. How ever. It is not. I would say slotted rotors and not cross drilled. Glad she's all good.

So, I bit the bullet and leased a white Jeep Compass for my daughter. Couldn't pass up a decent deal. So she'll have it for the last two years of school and a year after she graduates. Then she's on her own. I put the lease in her name with me as co signer so she'll build her credit and be able to get something on her own when this is finished.

Not an SRT Matt , but it's not a bad little suv for a cheap 3 year lease.

Coulda got a better deal on a Corolla with better gas mileage, but in the end the 4 wheel drive for snow and her preference win out . She wasn't wiled about the focus (we did start at ford), and the escape was a bit to much$$$ for the budget.

I've had nada , zip, zilch, zero in the last 3 months. Maybe 3 beers and 3 drinks in the last 6 months, and a grand total of maybe a case of beer , 6 to 12 drinks and one shot since I got out of the hospital this time last year . Now that I think of it............... I've had more than that in a week of drinking than I have in all of the past year !!!

I'll admit ,....... I do miss it :-( But I'll also admit , ....... This is the best I've felt and the best shape I've been in , in the past 15 years !

Soooo, this kid bought this truck yesterday, he pulled into the smoke pit and the truck stopped and wouldn't go anywhere with the engine revving. When I showed up, this ******* that claimed he knew what he was talking about pointed to the rear differential and said your rear transfer case is shot, it's spittin motor and tranny fluid all over, think your torque converter went out. So me, being the one with at least half a brain said, let's get the damn thing into a parking spot and out of the handicapped zone, and I'll take a look and take a guess at what happened. Pushed it two feet and this happened... I turned around and told him, there's a good idea as to what happened, his rear end fell apart and the axle was sticking out of the housing, and it broke when we tried to move it.

But is is nice to see that a US automaker is actually making something that might be able to compete with the Axis carmakers. Bout time.
Now we just need to steal their diesel engine technology because we can't seem to make one that will fit in anything smaller than a one-ton truck.

I have a rubber pad made for a Nordic Trac (cc ski simulator/trainer/thinger) that is about an inch thick. Keeps things where I put them. If I didn't have that, I would have gone the same route you did. Those bed pads work really well.

I enjoy that because it's worth at least a million, and I'm always doing cool things. Or easy things. The Highlight today was modifying some high-dollar toilet handle to fit the tank he has LOL

I had downloaded all my Ranger photos to my tablet so he could see with his bad eyesight. I showed him basically the best of and before and after pictures.

He told me instead of swapping time that I take off and working at his house, now he is going to start paying me cash for the time I work at his house. So that's pretty awesome

Visited the showroom while getting the Lincoln serviced. If I had win mega millions last night I'd be back there today !

Not happy with whoever seviced the Lincoln . Grease stains on the windshield pillar fabric and the leather on the dash, along with crooked inspection sticker with greasy fingerprints all over the windshield. Microfiber towel in back seat. I had an appt and the service guy said it'd be done in under an hour , so I didn't bother with the free loaner (comes with the Lincoln lease)
Well over 3 hours later I drove off in the greasy car that I didnt notice til I left. Next time I'm taking the loaner, doing what I gotta do all day in their vehicle and with their gas, and picking mine up at the end of the day ! And leaving a mess in their car !!!

Even though I've spent some coin on the POS, I have a fairly inexpensive truck. That is going to last a long time. That I can work on forever.

The Heep is a piece of ****, with 7 computers and very expensive parts. I'm going to trade it off as soon as it makes financial sense.
