Gotta lean on my sales guy a bit. The RR tire (now the RF) tire is cupped which means the ass is or was out of alignment. They need to check it and line it up so I don't chew through the ones that are now on the back. The RR (now RF) tire should work itself out but in the meantime that back one could be getting messed up.

----------

The sales guy knows I'm going to be looking for a truck sometime in the near-ish future so I used that as my leverage in a completely un-subtle way.

Literally I said "treat me well now and that truck I buy has a better chance of being off you."

Besides it's two days old in my life. And only 2 years old in its own. It shouldn't have been sold to me this way. Period.

I could just go pay for it myself but I shouldn't have to.

I would say in the 35% range. U know. It depends on what it is. If it's flat work. It's all ash. If it's for a bridge base. It's normal.

Coke trick? You can put a 2 liter of Coke in a "hot" load of ready mix concrete and the sugars in it will retard (slow down) the set of the concrete to give you more time to work with it.

Hot load lol. Sounds funny but that's what people call it. Means the Crete has been in the truck a long time. And has begun its process. Well. Technically it starts when it leaves the plant. Right dan? Hot load is the Crete is baking in that truck. The sugar slows down the hardening process. When you've done it long enough. U k ow when it's time to do that. Concrete waits for no man So u kinda Gota figure that out fast lol

What do you mean by a hot truck? One that the cement only has a short time before its not workable anymore? Basically concrete has a "shelf life" from the time it's batched (first mixed) there is only an hour to maybe two that it'll remain in its plastic state (wet and workable) It's pretty much a ticking time bomb from the moment that the cement and water mix together. It starts a process called hydration and those ingredients will creat a lot of heat and that's what gets the water to "go away" That's why it's called hot. If you were to take a bucket of wet concrete and put your hand in it throughout the hydration process you would literally come out with 3rd degree burns cause the chemical reaction creates that much heat. So the term hot is actually a literal term.

Then it's undercoating time when the bed is off.. Might end up taking the seats out to clean them really good. Not sure yet. I'm going to see if my neighbor can do the welding. ( he restores cars ) and see about paint and line x for the inside of the panels and Bottom of the bed. And inside of the bed too. The only part that is going to suck is the wire brushing. haha. I still have to work today. If not.. I think I'm going to change the transmission fluid. If not that rear differential fluid... But that requires rtv.. So probably not. "We don't know how to do this" or "its too messy" ( as my brother says ) then I reply. You undo the bottom bolts and gently put a screw driver in it to break the seal. Then drain. Inspect. Scrape old gasket off ( plastic scraper ) put new rtv on follow directions then fill until you can touch the fluid with your finger then clean the plug and tell the brother to screw off.

Try to get them from a place like Cabela's (if yoos guys have those where you are) so if they don't fit well, you can return them and try Husky Liners (pretty much the same deal as Weathertech....custom fit for your specific vehicle). I bought Weathertechs for my '07 F-150, and they fit like Hell....huge gaps along the sides next to the console. Returned them for the Huskys and they fit perfectly. Not sure why the WT's fit so poorly as they fit great in my old JEEP. No biggie....horse a piece.

Was hoping for 13.5

Then I get there and if you run 13.99 or faster you gotta wear a helmet. I didn't have a damn helmet. They don't rent any. I had no friends there.
So I tried to stay above it on my first run but went a tad to fast
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/10/02/055a18348308c9c23c15d582554c940c.jpg

We're finally getting a Bass Pro Shop here. Hopefully they will give Gander and Cabela's some competition. I have a feeling it will be spendy, though, as they are building it as a huge addition to the Mall Of America (Mecca for women's shoes......every female must make one trip in her lifetime), and everything at MOA is at least 10% more expensive than everywhere else.

Was hoping for 13.5

Then I get there and if you run 13.99 or faster you gotta wear a helmet. I didn't have a damn helmet. They don't rent any. I had no friends there.
So I tried to stay above it on my first run but went a tad to fast

Finally found a helmet to borrow and ran again, 45 minutes after first run.

Ran again and jumped the tree :(
Hot lapped again 20 minutes later and got the best run! 13.285. R/T .723

Let it cool down for a bit then ran again. Lined up next to a 5.0....

And I jumped the tree again -__- **** me.

Left after that cuz my poor pups at home. Drag strip was 2 hours away. They're going til 1 am. There was drifting too.

----------

Don't remember. But gf took lots of pics so I can probably figure it out later

----------

Oh also full disclosure....took spare tire out before I left home haha if I'd had more time I'd have taken the rear seats out too

----------

Hahaha my first run was my best r/t. .467

Sure you "jumped" the tree...admit it that 5.0 ate your SRT for dinner lol. Jk

My pos Heep must not hold launch control indefinitely. He took forever to stage but at that point I was good at it. Cruised right in.....but the jeep released from launch control after enough time while he was trying to stage.
I don't have to hold the brake hard during launch control. When the engine no longer held itself at 2k rpms, I lurched forward hard. Bummed

And fyi my time beat several 5.0s. Lots of ppl couldn't drive

Went and attempted to drop the pan on the transmission.. Cross member is in the way.. So we removed some fluid ( from dipstick tube ) and changed the power steering fluid again. ( burnt and had metal... ) and the truck is no longer over filled.. No more clunk in reverse and no more loss of power and hard / hesitating shifts. Even shifts good being loaded ( 10-60 mph shifting at 4,700 rpm from 1st - 2nd and 4,000 into 3rd gear ) https://instagram.com/p/8Z6SFbHD7D/ it sounds like it had a lightning motor lmao. The fact that there is metal in your power steering reservoir is very bad...I think it's time you changed the pump and flushed the whole system before a piece of metal shreds through one of the lines and you lose your power steering. It would be incredibly bad if it happened at highway speeds especially...

As close as I could spec a 2016 like this 2014, it was around 8-10k less. And on this kind of car we're talking about paying a little over half the price of new. Base price is just under $19,000 and it has about $5,000-6,000 of add ons like the appearance package, traction control/ABS/torque vectoring, 6 speed auto, moon roof, automatic lights, interior lighting group, etc. It's got some **** on it. I'm thinking about Magnaflow. I like the MPGs it opened up on the Navigator. But I hate to spend the money when there's nothing wrong with the exhaust on it already...it isn't rusted out or anything.

Well first, it was very fun! Second, was hoping for 13.5 and beat that so almost perfect day.
And that was faster than your Eco and your Nissan?

I never had either on the strip. But yeah. It's faster. 0-60 on my Z and truck was around 6 seconds. 4.5 is my best in the srt.
If I had to bet...I'd say my f150 may have gotten into the 14s, the Z.....14-15

Not too soon. I'm trying to be smart. Buying this was dumb enough lol

I don't regret it I freaking love it. That being said....I'd never pay this payment if it was all on me

I used to be anti-payment. Then I developed an even stronger anti-carwontstart.

I would have paid cash for your car.

Anti-payment comes from paying things off early thus not having a payment. Planning for the future son..

Some of us don't make THAT much...

----------

So yeah way to be an ******* and make a guy feel like nothing.

----------

And don't call me "son."

I'm not 15 and I'm not your son. I'm working my ass off and just happen to not be as wealthy as you.

The last thing I was trying to do was put you down and make you feel like nothing. For that I am sorry Don. I thought you were joking which is why I said son. When you got your new job, i said congrats, when you were thinking about a car I said you need a car to get to work. If you feel you are working your ass off, good welcome to my world. I put in long hours in the office, at home and in the field so I could achieve things and take care of my family. So if you have a problem with that, rub it in your chest and deal with it

The luxury of saving for a car comes from already having a reliable one. So that whole "planning ahead" barb with "son" thrown on the end as if it was a scolding along with sage advice made it sound like I missed my chance to save up...as if I was being a wasteful teenager blowing his allowance on video games. As if you're a superior person for having 15k just sitting to be spent on a car.

I don't appreciate being treated that way.

I don't care how hard you work anymore than you care how hard I work, but you seem to think we can all make as much as you by working harder. As if not making as much as you means we're not working hard at all.

Planning ahead has to do with my wife and I both being over the age of 50. Planning ahead has to do with my wife having Lupus. This year I sold my hot rod for nice amount. Hence cash money for a car. Think what you want

So yesterday when my dad showed up when me and my brother was about to break the seal on the rear differential ( thank god he did ) and when he started his truck ( 2003 F-150 XLT 5.4 ) Unknown tick on startup when engine is cold. - YouTube (http://youtu.be/IaIvItiGDDA) ( the unique trition startup ) his took half the time and didn't sound right at all.. It wanted to die. And sounded VERY. Weak. Is his starter going out or does his motor have low compression???? If I would guess it would be compression.. He's put 7 quarts of oil in it since 60,000 miles.. It has around 247,000+ on it now.

I don't hear anything? well. That's a example of what it should sound like ( of my truck ) but my dad's truck took half the time to start and when it did it was struggling not to die. / stall out. I'll try to get a video of it starting. But I never hear it run. That was the first time in forever since I've heard it start

So make a video of that. What it SHOULD sound like doesn't help us.

Sometimes you really confuse me kiddo .

Congrats on all the hard work you been puttin in on your truck lately. I'm not sure it's worth all the $$$ you guys are throwing at it, but it'll be a learning experience for you both. .................. In more ways than one .
