man i forgot i just put it back on today to! all i did was put a pice of angle iron inside the bed and bolted it to the front of the bed and bolted the main box bolts down thew it

yea i need to work on mine i have to grease it all up and clean the carbs i clean them every year so i dont have any problems i want to change the clutch spring i want a little stiffer one in it

When I put mine away for the summer I drain the tanks and run stabil through the carbs but mine got gummed up this year. It wasnt to bad, I was impressed how clean the bowls were when I had them apart, I hadnt had the carbs of since I got it a couple years ago. She runs like a rape ape now though

You have the same sled my wifes step mom had. It was slow as balls but she never had a problem with it, I dubbed it the "ditch pickle" lol. My father in laws Arctic Cat on the other hand, that thing was a peice of ****. His 500 watercooled twin broke down nearly every time we rode. His new F1000 is pretty fast though, rides awesome.

I wish Yam still built a 2 stroke though, my next sled will probably be a ski doo just because I cant afford a new Yam 4 stroke. Even though they are bad ass

Yes it would, and the 4 strokes last forever. I read an article a year or so ago about a Yam that had like 30K on it with only belt and oil changes, hard to beat that.

Im going to have to say no, the F-150 ovals are pretty big

Last year we borrowed my aunts Arctic Cat F5 and that thing burned so much oil we put on about 400 miles that weekend and went through about 3 1/2 gallons of oil. We had to stop and fill up with oil and check the gas.

Holy ****, thats a ton of oil! I only go through about 1 gallon every 1000 miles!

It was crazy, we didn't know this because we were just borrowing the sled so we thought it ran like a normal sled we just grabbed an extra quart for it. Yea my uncle said they had it running a little rich for break in but the sled already had 3000 miles on it which is a "little" past break in

Yeah I'd say it was running a wee bit too much oil. You can actually lean the mixture out running too much oil and burn it up.

Nice, the last year of the awesome Yamaha triples. Throw some triple pipes on that and re jet the carbs and you'll be able to run with my SRX.

Lugs? You mean studs? Either way, just like anything else its all about traction! Studs are carbide tipped spikes that dig into ice and hard packed snow to help you get moving and for stopping. The more lugs or the taller the lugs on the track also help with traction. If you ride in deep snow, a longer lug track is needed. As far as ski's go, the differences with them depends on how you ride. The width and profile changes depending on what you ride whether you rid packed trails, ditch banging or deep powder.

Check out this pic. The silver spikes are the studs and you can see the lugs of my track. I ride a combo of mostly trails and some field/ ditch banging so my lugs are only 1" long and my studs are 1.25" long. Also, just like tires the lug pattern is important.

Sounds like your cowl drains might be plugged up and water is backing up into your HVAC system. Usually it will be wet on the passenger side but ive heard of it affecting the drivers side as well. Does your truck live outside?

Dont feel bad, my ranger lives outside now too, it gave up its spot in the garage to my F-150. lol Anyways, leaves and other crud get down into the cowl beneath the windshield and plug up the drains. Only bad thing is to clear the drains you have to take the front fenders off.

Is it cracked? Its possible, there are other ways water can get in but the plugged up cowl drains seem to be the most common reason

Its not totally out of the question that the windshield isnt sealed but you dont have to replace the windshield if its leaky, they would just re-seal it.
