I've heard good things about Roush stuff. I'm gonna guess most any intake will be comparable to the others. Not gonna see huge differences between different brands IMO

I'm looking into them as well. I make sure to look at filter size and how big (in inches) the new intake inlet actually is. There definitely ARE differences in intakes! I'm looking very seriously at the Banks Ram Air intake. It has 63% more airflow than stock, and a HUGE filter and air inlet. Banks doesn't just make diesel mods! I'm pretty impressed with what I've seen and heard about the Banks F-150 mods.

I've heard mixed reviews about the K&N intake for Ford 5.4L engines. I had a friend say he didn't notice any power gains at all with one. I'm also looking for one for my truck and advice on brands would be appreciated!

I'm running the AIRAID kit with a spacer on my 08 5.4 F150. Way better throttle response, a healthy power gain and around 3mpg better.

Roush doesn't make anything bad. Not that I know of. Lol. I have the k&n kit on mine with the spacer. Has a little whistle. But big power gain. Add an intake. And big big power. But bully dog does have a nice kit. Not into there tuning but there air kit is pretty sweat. Depend on of u have the 2v er 3v motor. Really. I'm just happy with mine. No probs. way easy to put on but there r alot of lots on the market. Just remember u get what u pay for
