I just took a new job and they gave me a 2010 XLT 4x4 as my company truck. Long story short, whoever had it before me swapped out the alloy wheels it came with and put older F-150 steelies on it, so its got no sensors anymore and the TPMS tattletale will not turn off due to sensor fault. Does anybody know if these sensors are available from anywhere other than the dealership, and if they'll work with the steel wheels and train to the truck?

Don't know where you are located but Discount Tire Co. has tire sensors in stock at most stores. And yes they should train to your vehicle.

The sensors are in the valve stem and you have to order those and then have them programmed to the ecu. Not a lot off work but a dealer or auto shop will have to program them

I know people up north (salt eats them up) will just throw them in a capped PVC pipe with a schraeder valve at the end and throw it under the drivers seat. make sure you label it so cops dont think its a bomb!
