I have a 95 f150, 4x4. I'm not sure witch rear end I have but I'm tryin to replace the bearings and I can't get the pinion shaft out. I've got the truck on jack stands, wheels off, drained the fluid, and the bolt that holds the pinion shaft in place, I got it out. But I can't figure out how to get the shaft out so I can take the "C" clips off to get the axles out. Does anyone have any ideas that might help?

I think your VIN number will tell you what rear end it is.....

Check the VIN sticker on the drivers side door. For instance, mine is H9. That's a 3.55 LSD

Can you push the shafts in towards the pumpkin a little bit to relieve the clips?

Thank you, I checked the vin its an H9 so I have 3:55 gears. After I got to looking at the rear end I realized that the rear axle it self wasn't strait. The bolt or stud that goes through the leaf springs was rusted in half or gone. I made 2 new one's from stainless steal bolt. Put it all back together and it worked great, till my pinion pushed out the front of the housing. Instead of trying to rebuild it I'm tryin to find one in a junk yard.

I had a miss print in the 1st thing I posted. I was trying to get the spider gears center pin out, not the pinion gear out.
