I have a 300 6 in my f150 and it after driving for a few miles and stopping somewhere and I go to start it up it wont, I then have hold the pedal to the floor for it to start and after it starts all I smell is gas for a minute. The thing ia I can't figure out why. Help?

Some more infomation could be useful. Like the year of the truck, transmission, carb'd or efi. Each of those can be related to your issues..
