Scared the crap out of me!

Driving home today I heard a loud bang under my truck. I didn't see anything in the road so I figured it was just a rock... I got home and saw the what the photo shows. I called the service dept and had a tow truck come pick it up. When the driver got here he said "That doesn't belong to you!". He told me that it's something that the power company uses to string power lines. I asked if he could still take it in just to make sure that nothing was damaged... I thought it was a linkage to my parking brake.

Glad to see it wasn't a broke part on your truck. Is the damage bad?

I'll find out in the morning. Shouldn't have any damage unless it caught and ripped a cable or line.
