I have a 2007 5.4 f150

I have just recently purchased this truck 2 months ago. When I bought the truck the ac was cooling ok but not freezing? As of last week the ac has really dropped. Not cooling hardly any idling and maybe a little going down the road. Put my gauges on it Low side thru the roof 120 p. high side maybe 200 p. I'm just about sure it's got to be the compressor. But omg I can't even tell where to start. I am a disabled ex mechanic an parts man. But I don't have a clue on this one!!! I can't even see how to unbolt the lines from top of ac comp.

Guess it's going to the dealership???

Any ideas??

What would be a fair price to do this job??

Help it's hot in L.A " Lower Alabama "

Could be compressor. There is also a sensor that goes out in dash board that will cause cooling issues. This has happend to a couple of buddies of mine. On my old ford (like your year mod) my evaporator was bad

Thank you sir. I am thinking it the compressor because it never was cold cold and I checked the freon a week after I bought the truck and low side pressure was high then and has since got higher?!? Like 110 on low and 180 on high side and the compressor has since started making a different louder noise.

I just don't know where to even start on ac compressor on this truck my old f150 has the compressor on top they put the one on this truck under the block on passenger side??? Crazy??

Was your evaporator leaking????

Does the compressor spin at all? Does it stay spinning or does it short cycle? Also make sure your engine fan is pulling air, or else you will have low pressure over the condenser.
