Not too fond of newer model F150s even though I drive one..
Drove my ex girlfriends special edition 2003 FX4 and it was kind of stiff but I enjoyed it more than my 2010 F150..
I would rather have a 97-03 FX4 till I'm 70 years old than have a newer one. Lol
Guess its just my personal preference
Anyone else having these weird thoughts?

I like the OLD F trucks. The mid 70,s dent sides are my favorite. The 97-03 are actually my least favorite style.

Haha yeah man joe I would take that truck off your hands anytime even If I have to go in debt lol. I would love to get like A 67 mustang and customize it but I'm a little too young and don't have the cash flow for all that work. Lol

If I can get my truck sold soon I will buy yours whenever though lol

Most people don't like the front end of the 97-03's but I personally love them and the extended cab not the crew cab because the tail lights look terrible

My only fear with mine is rolling it, or hit from the side....there's no column between the doors

Take my word for it, these trucks (04+) are crazy strong. I bought mine as a wreck, rollover actually. I drove it from the salvage lot where I bought it. Ford used a ton of laminated high strength steel in the re-design of these trucks.

That makes me feel a lot better about my '05 lol. That driveshaft on the 97-03 model folded like a straw. That's crazy how that thing crumpled so much.

Yes I feel safer with my 10.
Anyone have any idea on how go get black leather seat covers that look and feel good and are worth the bang for my buck?

I personally wouldn't go with leather. Its hot in the summer and freezing in the winter... You could probably look online for leather seat covers though. Or go to a shop that customizes vehicles they should have something

Yeah it's 1200 to get them reupholstered. Lol

Yeah I want to add black leather but I'm not dumping anything else into my truck yet until I figure out whether I will sell it or not

What about 5 years down the road when leather loses its sharpness and starts to look like snake skin. What do you do about that? Cloth just stays the same.

Mine is 8 years old, still looks new. Clothe would have been stained and terrible looking by now.

And that's what a carpet cleaner is for lol. Mine looks pretty damn good since I cleaned them a month ago. Almost like new and they're 8 years old.

Eh, after having clothe in every truck Ive owned except my F150 and having to clean them constantly Im over clothe. Only leather for me from now on, much easier to maintain and I think it looks nicer.

yea that is the nice thing about leather/vinyl...my tbird has black vinyl(OUCH) it looks awesome clean and makes the inside nice but burns the **** out of you...lol

For me it's kind of a catch 22. My fav style is 80-86, but I love the comfort and conscience that my '13 has.

As far as the leather/cloth debate I'm all for leather. Especially with the newer technologies like heated and cooled seats especially with remote start.

Same with the Buick, hot summer days sucked when I drove that.

I agree it looks nicer, but cloth seats don't get hot or cold with the weather changing and they don't crack if you don't maintain them either. Don't get me wrong, the day I buy my first new truck, it'll have leather seats lol.

I prefer leather too, but I really really really don't want it to crack. That ruins the whole thing for me, I've turned away some of the nicest used trucks after 1 look at junk leather.

I'm more into leather And the 97-03 models couldn't really care about cloth in my truck but i wouldn't mind having it lol

But I'm about to get my step bars powder coated and my rims touched up when I had it detailed I guess the armor all wore out the powder coat on them and now it's weird looking lol probably couldn't notice unless you pay attention though
