I currently have 17in factory rims I was wondering if I get bigger rims would that make my truck sit up higher? The rims I'm thinking about getting are 20in rims.
2004 ford f150 4x2. Thanks

It depends on what size tires you get. I upgraded from 17's with 265's on my '05 to 18's with 285's. My truck is a little higher than it originally was.

Yeah. You'll get a little bit higher. Nothin that's gonna tip the scale but of course. You are increasing the diameter of your tire and wheel. Take a measurement before you do your swap. And them again after. And you will get your answer

According to this chart http://www.wheelcityusa.com/tires/chart.htm you will actually be loosing almost 2" total diameter meaning your truck will be sitting approx 1" lower with the 275-45/ 20's. Going bigger in wheels doesnt mean more height, its all in the size tire you put on it.

265 70 17= 31.61" Diameter tire
275 45 20= 29.74" Diameter tire
