I have a 2005 ford f150 XLT supercrew 2wd with 265s all around. I have a 17in factory rims but I was wondering what tire size can I go up to without having any rubbing or a lift on it. I was thinking 265s. Also everything is factory.

Did you mean 285? Lol and you can fit up to 31" or 33" tires I believe, although it would be a good idea to get a leveling kit for the front after that. I also have a 2005 XLT, but a Supercab, came with 17" factory alloy wheels with 265 tires and I upgraded to 18" wheels off an '06 FX4 and 285's. No rubbing problem at all.

Yeah if you just do what I did going to the 285's you won't need a lift. And glad I could help.

Are you staying with the 17" wheels? You can go to a 285 width, but you'll have to drop a few sizes in sidewall aspect ratio. I'm guessing the stock size is something like 265/65R17 so you'd want to go with an 285/55R17 to keep the height close and not mess up the calibration of the speedometer too much.

285/70/17 will be fine with no rub, I put them on all the time.. Under App Store on phone there is a free app called tire upgrade which allows you to put in old size and new size which puts both to inches to compare: width, height, and circumferences per mile...
