Stay with factory

I want to stay with the factory head unit and disc changer on my 97 150 . I was wondering is there a way to upgrade/replace the amp (s) without butchering up the wiring harness

Yes they have adapters that tap into the rear speaker wires and turn that signal into a RCA output to get audio signal to the amp(s)
