78-78 f100 4x4 rear end

Ok so I gotta buddy wanting to work out a trade on a f100. Thing is the pinion in the rear end is shot. Any info you might have on what kinda rear axle may be in it would be helpful because I know nothing about it..... This maybe helpful but idk. The place where the yoke it it looks like some kind of cap that bolts onto the it.

Look an see if there is a metal tag bolted to it. It has the numbers to tell you what the ratio is. Then if you don't have a book to look it up call your local parts house and get them to look it up!

I look for the tag. Found the spot where it used to be haha but rust has gotten the better of it...

Call dealer and give um your VIN and maybe they can at least tell ya what came in it?
