My truck died on the way back from Possum Kingdom to Grapevine, TX. The crankshaft is broken and I'm leaving for boot camp in August so it's not worth it to fix. It had a good run.. 213,490.2 miles and 19 years of abuse. It was a farm/horse trailer truck before I bought it for $400. I've had some fond memories in that truck and she'll surely be missed.

That sucks. Good to see that kind of longevity even in a heavy work truck tho.

Yeah the truck definitely had a good run.. If I wasn't leaving for boot camp so soon I would definitely fix it, but I'll just have to sell it for parts.

You'll have plenty of cool stuff to drive kid. Good luck at the island. Keep ur chin up and don't give up. Help your brothers as best as u can. And in a few short months..... You'll b a Marine. A Marine for life! Remember your truck while runnin your tail off and crankin out push ups. Good luck kid.

What engine? A crank is an easy fix, but for sure sell it for at least $400 so you break even

It's the legendary 4.9 inline 6. But apparently when the crankshaft broke, it bent a bunch of rods in the motor and I don't have time for that before boot camp. I would fix it if I was going reserves but since I'll be active duty, I won't be home most of the time.

I won't be at the island. I'm from Texas so I'll be in San Diego!

Been there too. 29 palms. I didn't go to boot camp there. But I trained a little there. Either way. Good luck

The base in San Diego is an island lol. Unless you're going to San Pedro, then it's Camp Pendelton.
