wheel bearings

I have a 1991 F-150 that needs new wheel bearings, but I was told by the previous owner that they are press in and out. Which doesn't seem accurate to me. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

And if it is true what kind of tools will I need for the job?

Are you 2WD or 4WD? If Ford carried over the same unit (which they are accustomed to doing to save on tooling costs) to the 10th gen, I have a rotor/hub assembly and the inner and outer bearing are held in with a simple friction ring. A mallet, flathead screwdriver, and wheel bearing grease is all you need (in addition to the sockets to take the hub off) to replace your front 2WD bearings

Ok so apparently its the outer race that is press in and out, and then its just a typical repackable bearing. Although I'm going to replace all the bearings.

Go to VatoZone and get a Chiltons or Haynes manual. It is well worth the $20 price tag
