Speed control (cruise control)

My cruise control on my 2002 ford f150 supercrew 8 cylinder 5.4L has not been working. It won't even turn on, like the light when you press the on button. It's not the fuses inside the truck. So does anyone have an idea how to fix it?

My same generation Expedition had the same problem. I really have to crush the off button and then crush the on button. It only works 50% of the time. It might just be a bad button.

Call your local dealer and ask them about it, then schedule an appointment. They'll take care of it for you. It's free since its a recall.

^^ Ditto. If it hasn't been done, DO IT! It is a fire hazard! Also, it could be unplugged since it has not been done

I'll suggest getting a book to help you check the system out that is specific to your truck. Also ask the dealer service mechanic questions too most of them don't mind answering questions! Just a thought!

Like I said, is it even plugged in? Get a Haynes or Chiltons manual and find the diagram with the cruise control on it, start pinning out wires with a DMM
