So I've been looking at adding an OEM backup camera to my truck. Looks like I can get it done for a couple hundred $$$. Which is good for me since its an almost $500 option (which is why I didn't get it already).

In my meandering on the interwebs I came actor this vid and now I want to buy two of them and a lockpick and have one sweet setup.

The cameras are super easy to wire and install should be less that 200 if you know basic wiring and that guy just had his ground bypassed

Ya I saw that, but I'm considering the lockpick so I can pop in a movie and keep my kid entertained on trips.

I have the back up camera and its nice! Only thing though is that if you rely solely on the camera I can bet on it that you will hit something. The backup cameras are great for trailers or backing up in crowded parking lots, but you still need to check your mirrors and blind spots. I also have sensors on my truck and in all honesty I use them more than the camera.

Very true. U can't just rely on the technology. I'm also looking at adding the backup sensors. Word is its a pretty simple mod.
