88 f150 fuel pump not getting any power

I got a new fuel pump to put in the gas tank i installed it and nothin so i tested it and its getting power i turned the key to the on position and i heard it whine but it still wont crank but there is no pressure in the fuel rails

Did you change fuel filter? And you checked for pressure at the rail? Next check that you are fer sure getting the pump on and have gas in tank!

If you have the same problem after you changed pump then I would check the pressure regulator to ensure its functioning properly. If it is good then I would take the line loose and make sure it's not plugged up some where down the line.
