I have an '05 4.6L, I have the Flowmaster American Thunder SI/DO with the 40 Series muffler, got the side exit setup and it is loud my friend. Flowmaster has some other options too, but I think they have the best sound for Ford's IMO.

I'm a Borla fan, but it is hard to beat that Flowmaster sound

When I ha my mustang I used SLP and loved it. My next favorite was flowmaster. No matter what vehicle I hear it on flowmaster a just have a great sound.

I YouTube a lot of exhaust clips to compare and it helped a lot!

I got an 05' with a 5.4L sounds like a beast with dual side exit at the bumper. American thunder 40 series from flow master for me. Best sound for the buck that I saw. msbp or something like that has a bunch on eBay for the 4.6 and 5.4 but I wasn't quite as impressed with the sound.

I have the same exhaust system except on the 4.6L V8, it's pretty loud and beastly still.
