Text screen on 2011 F150 nav

The other evening while sitting at a red light, I came across a screen to send text messages from the truck. It would go away when was driving, then reappear while stopped.
It had 3 pages of texts messages, i.e. call me, I'm lost, be there in 10 minutes etc.
I sent a text from it to my GF, she never rec'd.
But know I can't seem to find it. I've pressed every button on the truck and screen and I can't find it. Any I nuts?

I'm not sure if the '11 and '13 are the same, but on the '13 there is a messages tab along the right side of the phone screen. Haven't really messed with it, but that's where I'd start to look.

Ya I tried mine last nite. Didn't work. Im guessing its an issue between my iPhone and Sync. Damn Apple and Microsoft not getting along.

It's something with the type of Bluetooth Apple uses. It will notify me of txt just won't display or read them.

What phone you have? I think it works with some newer android phones.

It's an iphone 5.

Yep that's the issue. I was under the assumption that the new iOS and newest Sync were supposed to have that capability, but must of been mislead.
