Anyone have problems with a ecoboost skipping or shuttering when going up hills or in cruise control? Maybe just the way it is?

At what speeds and gear does it seem to be doing it?

I notice when I punch it to pass someone it will drop down to third and the rpms go way up and it didn't seem to do anything but sound super painful. I don't know what your weather is like but here I was getting moisture in the intercooler. Anytime the engine has to work the moisture is sucked through and it surges. There's a new mod to fix it at the dealership. That was my problem.

I agree, that might be your problem. I've heard of moisture in the inter cooler causing the same problems you are experiencing. But like masonic said, there's a fix for it now. Just go take it into your local dealer.

You should still be under warranty too.

Yeah I just had a new inter cooler put in because of the moister issue. It's been raining all week and been running great after that.

Check your spark plug gap, mine were at. 044-.047 re-gap down to .033 and shudder went away. Plus I got the TSB update for the after cooler.

What are OEM specs?

Think it was .037 but many people were finding there plug gaps all over the place. One guy pulled all six of his plugs and ranged from .043 to .058 The problem is in a turbo engine the plugs need to be gapped to a tighter tolerance so as to prevent spark blow out under boost. I believe Ford had a TSB on this mid way through the 2012 model year. My truck is a 2011 built on 06-09-11
