Automatic trans wont roll backwards

I have a 95 f150 4x4 it blew the front seal out and lost a large amount of fluid. Pushed on a trailer got home and in N engine off would not roll backwards had to lift it with tractor to get off trailer rolls forward easy. pulling trans tonight to put in new seal but not sure what to do about the not rolling backwards. any ideas ?

You could've possibly snapped or bent a gear so when you push it backwards the teeth on the gear are catching I had that happen on a tractor
