Surge in power or a loss of power?

Could be a clogged fuel filter, good thing your changing that. And try running some fuel system cleaner through it at your next fill-up might clear up some issues. How many miles on your truck?

Close to 140000 and to my knowledge its factory fuel filter and no vac leaks

If that's the factory filter you need to change that, like right this instant. It should be changed every 30,000 miles. I hope it's not the factory one or that explains all of your problems right there.

Almost like a dead spot in acceleration? Dude. That sounds like ignition. Bad plug? No lights? I've had my hose clamp a bit too lose on my tb and it caused that. Do a once over with everything. But also if ur ff is that old or u think its that old. I'd change it. May fix it. But check ur gap on every plug.

It was factory fuel filter, I changed it with a wix and it runs a little better but it still has a miss during mid throttle.

Has anybody done the tsb 05-03-11 that deals with the throttle positioning?

Can't say that I have. Are you sure the plugs and coils are good? Might be time to change the plugs if they haven't been done recently. That would explain a loss of power, bad combustion. Try cleaning your throttle body too, it might be gummed up and not opening properly to let in enough air at certain throttle levels. Might get stuck for a sec before it goes, causing the sudden loss.

No CEL's right?

If I get some time ill try and find out what 61f is. I have the cortex. Ill see what I can do bud. If u never addresses 61f that could still b the prob And I know how there codes r confusing.

Yeah, instead of just telling you the problem, you get letters and numbers. I'll see if I can find that 61f code too.

A Guy at a Ford dealership said if he remember right it had something to do with the throttle body but he said he wouldn't sware to it

Alright, could be like I said, your throttle body is gummed up and getting stuck for a bit before it opens up properly, cause a loss of power for a few seconds. If its never been cleaned or hasn't been for awhile, I'd take it off and clean it, simple job to do.
