Both the horn and cruise control is not working. Not sure what and where to test to see if I'm getting power. Any ideas?

Locate fuses to see if coming from one fuse or 2!

There is only one fuse for the horn. Also, if I'm not mistaken that the key tumbler has been replaced because I found an old one in the glove compartment. Not sure if it was replaced with a new one or pulled out of another truck. About about the wiring harness in the steering column. What would cause the problem? Could the wiring harness not be hooked up?

So fuse to cruise is different than horn? If yes then you have 2issues

Do your blinkers still work. If yes then I would say its pluged in good. Did this happen all at once or over time?

I will get book out and look at schematic and get back 2 u

There are several things it can be: horn-relay if fuse is good! Bad horn ( hook 12v to test that its good/bad)

----------

Also several things to check for cruise : dump valve -by brake switch is bad or may need adjusted- speed sensor is bad? All runs thru computer- if you check to see if there's power getting to ... If yes Then not fuse. Has to be a control issue.

The blinkers and all work. As for the fuses, I couldn't find the horn fuse on the panel diagram.

By any chance, do you have a diagram of the fuse box in the engine bay so I can know which one is the horn.

So the horn is not getting power. That could be a bad horn relay? Also how do I hook the horn itself up to see if it even works? Also, I'm not able to locate the dump valve.

You can disconnect it and take a couple pcs of wire and hook it straight up to the battery -if it doesn't honk it be bad!! It's probably ok. Check power to the relay. You will need a diagram to be specific on wire colors but look at the relay it might show a diagram of how it's wired. This will tell you with spad to check for power. You will need a test light or dc voltage tester.

So I tested the horn to see if it works and it does. Also I tried to swap a similar relay to see if if would work when I press the button but it didn't. But I did take the relay out and took a piece of wire and touched two of the ports the relay goes into ad it made the horn sound. When to napa to see if they knew what it was and they said it could be a burnt wire or the switch is messed up. As for the cruise control, he said that it could be many things. Including the control module, clock spring, or cruise release valve. For the horn I'm thinking its a burnt wire somewhere because I'm not getting power to the horn.

I would check the switch in steering wheel to see if problems there. Maybe broke wire or connector ? Hope you locate it has to be between the steering wheel and relay! Good luck !

Had same problem with my last truck. Turned out to be a burnt wire in the column.

So i was looking around on the internet last night and read that another person was having a similar problem. He said that the air bag light was also on as well as his horn and cruise not working. i didn't notice it at first, but i looked and my airbag light flashes. I'm pretty sure that people on the thread were saying that it could be the clock spring. Is there anyway to tell if a clock spring works? Do i have to pull the clock spring out of the column to see if it its functioning properly?

Also found that 1995 F150's had a recall for the speed control. This would explain why the cruise control isn't working right? But not the horn.... Will the Ford Dealership fix a recall now? Here is the link below of the speed control recall..

With the risk of fire I'd do it. To check, you can go to Ford's website and put in your VIN # and it'll give you any recalls on your truck. You can also call your local dealer and ask about it. I'm not sure if recalls have an end date however. I would assume for legal purposes they don't.
