well i started out whit my brand stock 2011 fx4. I put a gibson swep side exhaust system on the first day i got it home. next was a grill the stock gray grill i did not like it at all. a couple weeks later i wanted a suspension lift so i went whit a bds 6 inch lift and 325/65/18 destination tires and dick cepek torque rims. finaly had everything on drove it for a week and i seen a f150 whit 5.5 box truck whit a 6'' lift it looked so much higher. talked to the guy parked side by side and we were same size. bugged me so much i went bought 37/13.50/18 mickey atz's then leveled out my truck added 2'' zone leveling kit ontop of my bds strut turned out perfectly strait no rake. next im gunna be going whit 2.5 coilovers and some new uca's

glad i'm not the only one that wasn't satisfied with my 6" lol my truck looks like it has a 4" lift. so irritating. will be adding more and 37's in the future. my buddy has the exact same truck as yours lol trying to get him to lift it because of this
heydustin
03-06-2013, 05:21 PM
my wheels i believe are -44 offset 5.5 backspace 8.5 wide. what kinda lift did you buy? i put my 37's on before i added the 2 inch leveling kit on top.

03-06-2013, 06:43 PM
i got a rough country. but since the drop brackets only drop 5" the most i can add is 1-1.5" if i'm lucky. i'll have to get some Camburg UCA's to account for the angle. then 37's ....after 4.88's
heydustin
03-06-2013, 08:36 PM
oh ok. yeah dont go 4.88 ur rpms will be to high like close to 3000 in 6 gear. go 4.56 be around 2300 rpm try'ed it on a friends truck. cause they dont make gears for the 2011+ yet
----------
to be honest i would get a set of bds strut so it gets rid of your strut spacer cheap way then you will be able to run a 1 1/2 spacer or 2 inch up front whit out the control arm hitting the coil. and also u wont need a new uniball uca. just a little suggestion lol i think the bds struts are 100 a side. and you put your stock coils on them.

Lol it's either 4.56 or 4.88. Haven't decided yet. I do alot of highway driving. And they have gears for every truck haha. You have the 9.75 rear and 8.8 front just like me. And I have Bilstein 6" struts so no spacer here

Omg... They make gears for the 2009+ plus it's same rear end as the 04-08 models just like Dylan said.

they changed the diameter of the pinion shaft for the rear. the new motors were snaping the pinions 2010 older are named job1 axles and 2011+ are named job2 axles. and no one makes one yet. ive tried yukon g2 gears nitro gears. they all told me that. if you find some plz to give me the part numbers and make and ill buy some right away....
