TPS not consistant with MAF. Is the code I get. It has an accufab throttle body and I believe the TPS mount holes could be drilled slightly off. The tuner had to alot and move the TPS in order to tune the truck. Is this common? The issue may not be the TPS itself the code reader just gives a clue as were to start. The truck runs good if I'm nice to it. However I diddnt build the motor to be nice to it I would like to drive the crap out of it. But at wot it misses bad and one time the computer actually shut the fuel off in mid run.i pulled over and turned the key off and on and it started like nothing happened. Also will miss if I give it too much fuel at once. Help!

Could it be the timing?

Oh she looks like a beast!! Looks mean. Check ur timing. Also how much air is running to ur supercharger? Do u have spark to all cylinders? R u running could? Do u have the right injectors? R ur fuel rails big enough?

14.5psi the stock rails are good .im at 650hp stock ported SC fully built engine. Using a SCT flip chip. With only two tunes in it. One for 93oct and one for 93+meth/water inj. Seems to run better on the more aggressive tune. Think the problem has to do with the slotted TPS and the Accufab TB. Snappy modis scanner says TPS inconsistant with MAF. Idles rough and dies when shift into gear until its good and warm. That might be the EGR delete tho... Also doesn't like alot of gas at once and completely shuts off or misses bad at WOT. Engine has about 4,xxx miles.Ran fine for at least 3,500of them. Help?

Update.

Still runs like crap. The AF ratio seems to hang out around 10-11 under a load and misses or detonates or stumbles whatever it's doing it ain't right. Accufab says there is nothing wrong with the TB. And the TPS is wkg. Also cleaned the MAF. Got another code this Morning I'll hafta check it later but I suspect the same "TPS not consistant with MAF" could it be the Adjustable cam gears?

Dude I know I had that motor wit 12-14 af u using a wb gauge? U sure u don't have something hooked up backwards. I can't see u havin a prob. It should b fine. That's the code u pull?

Ya the TPS not consistant with MAF. I realize that the code is just a clue and not necessarily the problem. I'm at a loss. Just spent 15,000$ on the build and don't trust just anyone to need with it. Ford dealer won't touch it.

Ok. Throttle positioning sensor?

----------

Not breathing properly. R u getting enough air?

----------

Could somethin be holding ur air up? Like maybe to much oil on the filter. Breather? Will it run right without the filter?

----------

Is it plugged in? The sensor?

----------

These r the questions he asked me. I'm like uh. Dunno. Just helpin a bruva out. Lol

----------

R u getting oil in ur air line from ur supercharger?

Yap. Sensor is plugged In. The intake is huge so im sure its getting plenty of air.

Also I checked and the TPS voltage at closed throttle is .98

Does it idle ruff?

lee83

Yes! I am getting oil in the plenum all the way up to the filter. I have a "catch can" that was full and prob why the oil made it that far. I emptied it yesterday and cleaned my MAF and still have the same problem.

Does it idle ruff?

Idles like crap. Likes to die when I put it in gear. Until its really warmed up.

Have the fix. Gonna type it. Hang on

----------

U need an oil separator Ur PVC system is set up for a reg 150. Ur blowing oil out of ur crank case into the intake. If u put an oil separator on that line. And maybe a new tps sensor. Prob should b solved

I dumped the oil out of my full oil seperator "catch can" yesterday. And the TPS is new but that doesn't mean it's good. I guess I'll throw another TPS on there. Thanks I really do appreciate the effort.

It's fixed!!!! I couldn't believe this is what fixed it.... The TPS was set to .97v and I was told to adjust it to .99v and the SOB runs like a 650hp lightning should!!! I'm goin to go find some bow ties to eat.

Now all I gotta go is figure out how to keep gas in it. Some slicks wouldn't hurt either.

This is true for all F-150s...if you have a DMM, make sure your TPS is as close as possible to .99 (but not going over it).

True that! I thought I killed another motor.
