A bit more info. This is the drivers side rear. This Is a 2007 f 150. Another close up picture of the origin of the line.

Mine is an 01 F150 and mine looks to be the same. Maybe a vent line.
Not really sure but between all the members here we should come up with something.

It is indeed a vent, looks like for brakes. I looked at my '05 and right above the rear differential where the spare tire is hanging on it's setup, there's a metal plate/rack (holding the spare) with 2 bolts sticking out and that's where mine is held up, just slide it in the slot in that rack thing.
