Semi-difficult, you'd have to first swap the tranny, then you'd have to cut through the floor panel in order to put a shifter in. I believe you'd have to reprogram you're truck's computer system as well, but I'm not completely sure.

Would the 5 speed trans from 4.6 bolt up to my 5.4

That I'm not sure about, I belive they have the same trannies, if it's from the same year model as your's, but they might not since it's going from the 4.6 to the 5.4 and theres's a big difference in HP and torque.

Hey guys
I do know the F250 Super Duty with a 5.4 from 99 to 05 did in fact come with a 5 speed manual trans.
I do not know if the transmission is interchangeable to the F150.
I will call my friend who works at Ford plant in Chicago and ask him.
I would think he should know.
I'll do that tomorrow and get back on here.

It is interchangeable. Ford put everything they had in the 250 in the 150. Even there desiel tranny. They put that in the lightning to handle the power. U can switch em. If u like.

Well I'm sure they do. But is I worth it? Is there something in general ur Tryin to accomplish? Fuel injection is more efficient

Yes decided to rebuild my 300 6cyl for my 86 F150 but want to concert to fuel injection instead of having it carb.
My daughter will be driving this truck and I want it to be as economically efficient as possible. And if it gas carb trouble I may not be close enough to fix it for her.
Wang ger to have very few problems.
