A friend is leaving his air flow sensor disconnected, will it hurt the vehicle?

Yes. The truck will run like ****. Rough/lopey idle, misfires up the yingyang, crappy mileage and poor performance, as well as risking detonation in your cylinders and burning out your cats! Tell him to plug it back in ASAP!
