I had a blend door issue. Took lower dash apart and removed actuator out. Door works OK but actuator does not. Got new actuator, but checking before installing it and it did not work. Took old actuator apart. When I took out one of gears, motor runs. Even got it to cycle to one stop. Was able to get some reverse travel with temperature control. New actuator still doesn't work. Any ideas?

What year is your truck . Do you have manual controls (knobs)? or dual climate electronic controls? Floor shift or column shift ? I just did the temp blend door actuator ( one behind radio) on my 2011 with manual controls and column shifte. Everything I found on doing the install says to not power it up without being installed and without doing the re calibration, again this is on a 2011. So it should be on the 09 and up . Do a search of temp blend door on here and youlll find my thread on the install with links to videos . Mine went smoothly and no surprises and still working flawlessly. I think I did it about two months ago now

Thanks for the info. My truck is a ninety eight. The actuator mounts under rather than over the Plenum. I will check out the calibration info. OK for now with a stick inserted into damper pivot. True manual control.

I have a similar problem. Replaced door, checked actuator which did not work. I could put it in my hand and feel the inside parts moving, but the shaft did not turn. Broken, thought I, so off to O'reilly's for a new actuator. Rats. It behaves exactly the same way. Feel the parts moving, but shaft does not turn. Should I install the thing or not? Tried it with truck running, but no cigar. It is a 99 F150 Lariat. I am stumped and sure could use some help or suggestions.
